Stolas deserves nothing but the best. He sacrificed his own happiness for 25 years, (from his tenth birthday until he turned 18 years, and then for 17 more years after Octavia was born, since she’s now 17) just to keep up appearances for the Royal Goetia family. But Blitzo definitely needs to work on himself, cuz he states before their first affair that “now he kills people,” which means he’s had some sorta method to get to the human world to keep his business afloat up until now, before needing Stolas’ Grimoire. Whether that method is ever revealed, who knows, but it shows that Blitzo was abusing Stolas’ affection for him to return 25 years later, just to get the book.

I was curious to see the wild ways Blast would pretend the concept of gay doesn't exist again. Did not disappoint. Apparently, Stolas is a clownfish. So to start watching a video with someone we're hoping, because they've been watching all the episodes too, loves the show as much as we do... and then to have that reactor express such disgust over the representation of who we are... it's hurtful. I am glad this show and this episode in particular are helping.

Something I've heard is that men cannot be victims of domestic abuse but that is absolutely not true! As you said, you're not "supposed to hit her" and a lot of men get stuck because they feel that they cannot physically defend themselves without being an abusive boyfriend/husband/partner. These men can get battered around just as badly as women being domestically abused. Most men are physically larger than most women so it's easier for people to see and understand a man abusing a woman, and they struggle to see how a woman could overpower a man, but it does happen. Men can even be assaulted. The "repeating what she says back to her," while not stopping is usually telegraphing that you don't want to stop regardless of her wants and most women will continue to appease him, flatter him, and/or keep themselves safe (after all, you can't tell which guys are going to be like "oh shit, my bad. I'll stop" and who will get aggressive and who will murder you.) Sometimes, the couple has a rapport and has an understanding that her "resisting" is part of the fun but that needs to be established first and usually has a safe word that actually means "stop for real."
