An amazing man One of my favourite interviews Charisma and cigarettes Can’t make out his reply to the question at the end “Can we wish you something?”

He was just great playing Dietrich at the beginning of the film.. It must be very difficult playing Dietrich and making it believed. Under Visconti wing he demonstrated that he was no only beautiful but also a good actor. RIP

In former times he was a brillant and charismatic actor, but like several brillant actors such as Oskar Werner he had problems with alcohol and drugs, which changed his personality. This interview ist very interesting, he answers all questions, in later interviews he acts more like a male diva. In the last years he realized, that it would be better to live in privacy because he wishes to be remembered by his films an not his failures with alcohol.

Interesting that he talks about the Dorian Gray film shooting in London...in that movie he wears those very same sunglasses he is wearing for this interview!!!.....the Dorian Gray film is very entertaining...here in England it was called " The Secret Of Dorian Gray" and it tells the Oscar Wilde story in modern day London...well 1969 London.

Helmut Berger era realmente el epítome de la belleza masculina,en esta entrevista se percibe a un hombre que emana sensualidad sin proponerselo, sin poses ni manerismos..este austriaco fue trasunto del Apolo o Adonis griego por antonomasia.

He once was a quite good looking gay man - when he was young - in his older days - his chronic heavy drug addiction let him look like a bloaded blum - and even act like one too.

Wirklich sehr sehr schade.

Helm looks much more optimistic here. Mysterious, yes, but also optimistic. Then he went downhill, methinks, with his troubles with drugs and alcohol. If i had been a woman, i would probably had fallen in love with Helm. But i always liked women that are a feminine version of Helm.
