Help! How can I restore my garden after it was overgrown with weeds?

Carboard, mulch (thick). Then design layout, build beds with mushrooms soil, dead leaves, prob some garden soil and compost. Once done building up, mulch top. Plant some garlic maybe and wait for spring. If you dont weed your garden often then you should consider using garden boxes and heavily mulch around them. Maybe try deer repellent? Or a more sturdy fence. Deer hate cannas i think, plant them around the boarder of the garden. Amish do that here. And u can pee near the garden marking it. Good luck!
