HELP! I GOT TAPE AND IT WON'T COME OFF

We dont just help with contents and lore about playsets, here's a tip on preserving and even improving a "sticky" situation!

I’m a retired detective/forensic investigator. I used to pull tape off evidence quite often to look for fingerprints on the adhesive side of various items such as fake bombs, envelopes, etc. Simply enough, I would turn a can of compressed air upside down and then spray the air directly onto the tape. Upside down the air comes out at around -50°F and would freeze the adhesive and the tape after only a few seconds. The tape would come right off. This worked for separating multiple layers of tape as well.

Thanks JB! Can't argue with that! And thanks for your service... You didn't mention if the vintage paper graphics and printing were completely unharmed (I presume it did)? This sounds like a trick to add to the armament. I have such a can of air, I will make a video next time I need to remove tape! Thanks again.

Lighter fluid do it out side . It Takes off tape and stickers off and evaporates without a stain . Learned it off of a antique book seller .😊 soak the area and wait a few minutes pull it off an rub it lightly with a cloth with and lighter fluid on it to take off glue .

Great tip Marxvideo, I am amazed it did not leave an oil stain as it feels a bit oily to me. But if I remember correctly lighter fluid is naphtha or close to it, you might want to do a test to see if that works as well, lot cheaper per ounce price. And have you tried to use a Q-Tip and lighter fluid to see if more residue will come off? Gret video and sets, thank you.

Ummmmm. Well I've always used a hairdryer. I moisten the top side of the sticker or tape and let it dry. This works to revitalize the glue some so it becomes pliable with heat and lifts off easily. Then I heat it up with a hair dryer and gently work it.

I have had great results with the product UN DU. Works great and then follow up with the lighter fluid. I think you will like the results if you give it a try
