God's grace will help you overcome sin and live a new life that is pleasing to Him (Titus 2:11-14). But it starts with repentance first, in the way that the Bible teaches it. Please see the videos in my playlist called _"Be Set Free From Sin"_ for help. Take some time to understand well the way you need to approach God. Your obedience to God out of love for God (John 14:15) is the key to your deliverance from any sin that you are bound in (Hebrews 5:9). Peace to you!

Hi dear friend How are you? I can really relate with what you are going through cos I was once in that state. I was so tired and frustrated I couldn't understand why I was hot for God today and tomorrow I am cold. Dear friend it's two years now and I have been in the Faith without turning back. This is how God delivered me 👇 Joshua 1:8 . 8 Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do. Reading the word of God and obeying the words there in! The Bible says in HEB 4:12 That God's word is living and active, sharper than any two edged sword... God's word is living my dear friend. I stopped falling continuous into sin by reading and studying my Bible with a book and pen. I prayed for grace to obey what I have read and this is how the Lord started giving me victory over sin. Other things helped too...I stoped watching movies and listening to music that don't edify and I de-associate myself form friends that are not godly. You can't have immoral friends and expect not to fall! I pray that the Lord will help you understand His word and give you grab e to obey. Believe me man. I'm sick of it too. If there were some way to stay sin free all the time I would follow that path. But I screw up every single day. I have a filthy mouth and swear like a sailor and I can't seem to break it. The best I can do is try to be on guard so I don't do it again but it seems I always fail when it comes to that. :/

@@clintferguson6599 oh hey, You can actually live a sin free Life. A life above sin is possible in Christ Jesus. The most important part you have to play is obedient to whatever he says. Whatever the battle you are facing is, all you need to do is search the scriptures to see what God say about that thing and use God's word to fight. For example, when I was struggling with lustful thought and pornography, whenever the urge comes to watch porn ( after studying God's word concerning sexual immorality) I would say a loud " Gift flee from every form of sexual immorality, protect your heart with all diligent cos out of it flows the issues of life" I would use the scriptures to fight my flesh and the temptations of the enemy. Also I surround myself with brethren, I was open and accountable to them. I was honest. God gave me victory at last! It's two years+ now I have never gone back to it.

Can I confess here? I'm still addicted to watch pornography and I know it is bad, sometimes I even hear the Holy Spirit's talking in my mind whenever I wanted to do that, but I didn't listen. Not all the time but often. I know I'm not as addicted as I used to but sometimes I fall again. And again. And I keep on feeling guilty after that. I'm asian and I'm born in a culture where talking about this kind of stuff is somewhat forbidden, so I'm battling this on my own for a couple of months. Yes I do love Jesus, I can see and feel His grace upon me everyday, but this sin keeps on bugging my mind. I do a lot of other sin too, like cursing or getting jealous and angry at some people. but this sin-the pornography one-is hard. A lot harder for me to get over it.

I honestly think, Mark, that many who are new Christians go through the same thing. It is hard sometimes to overcome sin, but God knows your struggle and still loves you. It's just a matter of learning to really hate sin and believe the bible that tells us how deceptive sin is. Sin just lies to us, and destroys our lives and hurts those we love. I highly recommend reading John Owens book "The Mortification of Sin" which comes from Romans 8:13. The book helped me tremendously. You can also find quotes by John Owen doing a Google search. John Owen was a 17th century theologian and one of my favorites. Stay blessed!

Hi brother I suffered alot too because of sin. You are right repenting won't do it I repenting countless times too. The fact that you believe in Jesus as savior is the work of God to lead you to realize that you cannot overcome sin no matter how hard you try. In fact the harder you try the more you will sin---thats if you are honestly trying not to sin from bottom of your heart where only God can see. If you have arrived in this place then you are ready to be saved. Now look at the cross only. Jesus ENDED the punishment of your sin before you were even born. God knew you would sin before you were born that's why He prepared Jesus ahead of time. So you are not a sinner according to the Bible. Don't look at your sin but look at the blood that made you holy, righteous, and perfect before God. If you don't believe this fact then you are going against God. Our problem is unbelieve in the Holy blood of Jesus. Don't Just believe with your mouth but it is a fact Jesus made you holy and perfect with His Holy blood. Whatever you do my friend don't give up the fight. I've been where you are and I know your struggle. The guilt, the feelings of condemnation -- trust me I know what you are going through. Go before God in prayer and cry out to him in genuine repentance and confess to your sin and tell him you can not make it unless he breaks the chains of bondage and stronghold over our life. The next thing for you to do is make the conscious choice to turn from that sin, and never return to it. These two things are vital if you are going to walk in freedom from this sin --- Choosing to pray each day and choosing to turn from your sin. That is the only way for you to have victory over your flesh and get it under submission. Until you do this you will continue to struggle with this sin. I have struggled with, and ultimatly gave in to porn, sexual impurtiy, and immorality. Praying EVERY DAY and READING ought to have been first things. I agree with the video. Rarely did I feel good even after confessing my sin to God. I think this is why God said "... No other sin effects the body the way this one does...". This is where I would give in and continue to make wrong choices. God did not change at all. He was as loving and compassionate as he has always been. My mental and emotional states changed drastically. Emotions are not spiritual reality gauges. They are indicators, and inaccurate ones at that. They can lie to us! The hardest thing for my PRIDE is to except that Gods love and Grace is so powerful that God willingly forgives me no matter how many times I sin against him. I don't think deeply that at the same time I am commiting other sins all the time that I am not aware of, or if I am, do not create the same guilt and shame that sexual sins do. For me, it is the fact, that I find great pleasure in doing something that, I am aware, hurts God. Does not ALL sin hurt God. It killed him. All of it. Every little bit of it. I don't feel that way about running a red light! That's dangerous and a sin. I put sin on this weird, how it effects me, scale. Doesn't it effect God the same way every time? Fight those feelings as I must. I will turn back to God and reconnect even though my feelings don't fall in line. This is the hardest thing for me to do! Luke 18:13-14 "But the tax collector, standing some distance away, was even unwilling to lift up his eyes to heaven, but was beating his breast, saying, 'God, be merciful to me, the sinner! I tell you, this man went to his house justified rather than the other; for everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but he who humbles himself will be exalted."

Make sure you approach God the way He expects you to with the right mindset. Prayers work together with what you need to have a resolve to do yourself. You must submit to God. That is essential: James 4:7-8 7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. 8 Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. That's what your attitude needs to be when you are going through the process of *repentance* and committing to be obedient to God for the rest of your life (that's the kind of "change of mind" God wants to see). You must sincerely regret having sinned against God, and come to the point of hearing and agreeing 100% with Jesus' message saying, "I do not condemn you, now go and don't sin anymore" (John 8:11). Your obedience as you choose to follow God's ways is key--that's how you show your faith to God (John 3:36, Luke 6:46, Hebrews 3:17-18). That opens the door to receiving his *forgiveness* for your past sins (2 Peter 1:9), *healing* (Luke 5:31-32), *freedom from sin/addictions* (John 8:34-36), and the gift of *a new life* that you will live for God and no longer for sin and the passing things of the world (Romans 6:4, 2 Corinthians 5:17, Galatians 6:15). That is the salvation you must make sure you have experienced: freedom from sin (John 8:36, Romans 8:1-2) versus bondage to sin (John 8:34, Romans 7:23). Approaching God in genuine repentance will lead to you receiving the Holy Spirit to lead you to "walk by the Spirit" (Acts 2:38, Galatians 5:16)--with a pure heart and self-control, which is a fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23). Any habit that controls you reveals idolatry in your heart. You have to choose to be done with that and it will be part of your past. That's one thing that will come out of your commitment to be obedient to God for the rest of your life. Please see 1 Peter 4:1-3 and 1 Thessalonians 1:9. James 1:21-22 21 Therefore, putting away all filthiness and overflowing of wickedness, receive with humility the implanted word, which is able to save your souls [that's repentance]. 22 But be doers of the word [that's faith, which implies obedience], and not only hearers, deluding your own selves. Hebrews 5:9 And having been made perfect, He [Jesus] became the author of 👉 *eternal salvation to all those who obey Him [...].* Please stay in the word and obey it (James 1:21-22). The word of God is fuel for your faith. To live as a follower of Jesus you must go out of your way to put the word of God in your heart and keep it there, rejecting all distractions. It's a fight and that's how you need to stand to not fall down. The truth will set you free from all sin (John 8:31-32, 36).

Whenever you feel the urge to sin in a sexual matter: Thank God how wonderfully He made women/men, with all your heart, and that only marriage is the appropriate way to please God with your sexuality. Thank you, Allen. Recently, and even today as I am typing this, I’ve been struggling with sexual sin. God has delivered me from it for 2 weeks a while ago. First time ever I’ve done that. my struggles with pornography addiction has died down exponentially thanks to Jesus & Holy Spirit. I haven't watched porn for almost 2 months now! today i slipped a little and i caught myself & was like "what am i doing ?, I am a child of God" & quickly repented, asking God to show me a way to not do it again & i came across this video after watching a couple of your videos and the verse proverbs 18:1 gets mentioned and stood out heavily to me! now I know what I need to do to never isolate myself from God or his people. After a heartattack and triple bypass I have been struggling with smoking I quit cold turkey for 2 months and ha e snuck a few in the last week I'm horribly ashamed of my self after God brought me through all that. I never thought I'd ever think of touching another one. But this is it and I'm just going to remind myself that I love God way more than those killers and they won't block my relationship with him. Thank you so very much for making this video, I have been a slave to sin since early childhood after being molested and experimented on. In 1959 our class was bussed to another school in Concord, California for the express purpose of taking part in a government program that administered sugar cubes to us children claiming it would cure cancer. The story after that was grim, but thank God for his grace and mercy, he led me to his son Jesus in December 1974 and he saved me.

I am a sinner. I've recently accepted Jesus. Within a week I've quit two 22 year addictions. My family is starting to heal, and my friendships are starting to be rebuild. Every single aspect of my life is improving. It's actually a miracle. The power of Jesus, if you accept him as your savoir, is beyond human imagination. Your life can be turned around too. I believe it is important to confess your sins to Jesus. However, when you observe that you still seem to fall over again and again, shouldn't that make you rethink if there is something you aren't doing right?? Let me introduce you to something new you can try, test and see if it works:

"Therefore, confess your sins to *one another, and pray for one another so that you may be healed*. The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much. James 5:16" The emphasis is on opening up and acknowledging this sin (basically what confessing means) to another individual.

It should be someone whose godly counsel/advice you have tested and trusted overtime. It could be your Pastor (if you have one) or a person more matured in Christ. Don't however judge by sight/appearance. By this, I mean don't think a matured Christian is one who probably prays loudly in tongues. Rather, I believe a matured Christian is one who has read and continually striven to obey what the scriptures command and overtime he is able to discern what is good and what is evil according to God's word and not the opinions of men- (Hebrews 5:14).

I believe you could also pray and ask God to lead you to someone you can talk to if you are not directly being discipled. God sees our heart when we desire to obey His word and makes a way. Other scriptures you can look at to confirm the above premise include : Numbers 11:2, Numbers 21:7-9.

The "Confess Your Sin" and "The Truth Will Set You Free" part really helped me. I realized that I never told anyone about the bad things I've done because I'm afraid. I'll confess here and to my mother. This is embarrassing to me but I know I must confess. I keep watching porn and I can't stop. I really wish I never got into it because I want to stop but I just can't. I keep blaming my hormones for it and tell myself "It's just part of puberty" but it still bothers me. That feeling just comes over me like my thoughts and body are forcing me to watch it and that greed and lust overcomes me. I have another issue too. I keep cursing. Whenever something unexpectedly happens, like for example, someone jumping out from nowhere and scaring me, or if I go to school where literally everyone curses it just slips out from my lips. Another issue I have is getting angry easily. Whenever I get angry bad thoughts just run through my mind and sometimes I just let out all that anger on people. I really need help. I will try to pray every night/morning for the lords forgiveness and ask him for help. Please pray for me if your reading this. Please.

You first of all need to see yourself as accountable to God for your actions, so you need to speak to Him. God expects you to confess your sins to Him and forsake them (that's always implied, not just admitting "I have sinned" and getting back to it again): It's confession + forsaking of sin: _Proverbs __28:13_ _He who covers his sins will not prosper, But whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy._ That's true repentance, in a nutshell, and it is between you and God. I pray that you are willing to do your part and come into 100% agreement with God about doing his will. His help will come as you do your part and submit to Him and resist the devil (James 4:7-8). Don't just go along with what you know is wrong. Put up a fight. Even if you are not successful for some time, don't give up. As long as you repent with actual remorse and sincerity to Jesus you will be saved. God will not remember your transgressions. We can never stop sinning no matter how hard we try. Only Through grace are we saved. Keep fighting try as hard as you can to avoid that sin. Any sin for that matter. Pray for grace and strength to our Heavenly Father Jesus Christ our Lord to help you. This is an effective way to break sin habit. I'm telling you this because you are my brother/sister in Christ and believers can still go to hell if they don't get on the right path. Steps below: 1: Pray and confess your sins to the eternal God and ask for forgiveness in Jesus' name and forgive everyone who ever did wrong to you (We are all humans on earth, messing up and hurting others some type of way). 2. @@cooldude7883 Check 1 John 3:6. If you don't believe it, you will keep saying things like "no matter how hard you try you will sin." You are denying that Jesus delivers from sin all who are in bondage to sin and turn to Him with a heart of obedience to his word (John 8:34-36). Going on sinning deliberately is not the plan _in Jesus_ and it is not inevitable to fall back into sin after having experienced *freedom from sin* (James 54:7-8, James 1:13-15, Romans 6:6-7, 1 Corinthians 10:13).

Sinners are called to repentance (Luke 5:31-32). You have to answer that call. That's the basis for forgiveness. But not only that, victory over the power of sin and freedom from sin, which is what salvation in Jesus is about (Romans 6:14, 18). It's confession + forsaking of sin (implied): Proverbs 28:13 He who covers his sins will not prosper, But whoever confesses and forsakes them will have mercy. That's true repentance, in a nutshell, and it is between you and God. It's time to "return to God" as He is pleading with all mankind (Acts 26:20; Zechariah 1:3; James 4:8-10). God is ready to forgive you and fill you with his peace as soon as you approach Him with a humble and repentant heart, like the prodigal son who came back to his senses and returned to his father (Luke 15:11-24). A new life awaits you in Jesus (Romans 6:4). So, don't give up and also examine your repentance, which is your approach to God. Please see my video titled 'Be Set Free From Sin.' Sandra Kayiwa Well if I can help with anything, it’s this. Be honest to God. Confess your sin and admit what you did was wrong, but most importantly, you have to know deep down whether you actually want to let go of this sin or not. For me, deep down, I didn’t. I told God that I genuinely loved my sin and didn’t want to let go. But I love him more and want to please him, not me. Be honest with God and he’ll work with that. But only you know your heart and how attached you are to your sin. I wish nothing but the best for you brother!

@@nuambawi9872 Imma keep it real with you, still to this day I struggle with lust. It’s the same sin that keeps me falling down again and again. There are days I’m just like “forget it, what’s the point in turning to God”. But when I realize Jesus knew I would fail him again and again, yet still died for me, it gets me to think that turning to God may be worth it because no one else ever has or ever will love me like that. The fact that he allowed me to wake up this morning is a sign that I’m not too far gone and that I should take today to turn back to him in thanks because I’m not burning in Hell right now. Every day is a sign of the Father’s mercy and I will continue to turn back to him as long as it takes. Just keep running to the Father again and again. I recommend listening to “Run to the Father” by Codey Carnes . Sorry for the long message, but you just have to have faith that God loves and forgives you no matter what. Maybe listen to “Never too far gone” by Jordan Feliz. May God be with you, always.

Hi, feeling bad about our shortcomings is not enough! You want to stop sinning? Read your Bible. I know it sounds basic, but don't just read it to fulfill all righteousness, read it to save your soul. James 2:21 "Receive with meekness the implanted word which is able to save your soul." John 17:17 "SANCTIFY them by Your truth, Your word is truth." So many other scriptures point to the words of God being able to set us free. In addition to the wonderful strategies given in this video, you could find Ita Udoh and listen to him too. He has helped me tremendously. May God help us all❤

Make sure you approach God the way He expects you to with the right mindset. You must submit to God. That is essential: James 4:7-8 7 Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. 8 Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded. That's what your attitude needs to be when you are going through the process of *repentance* and committing to be obedient to God for the rest of your life (that's the kind of "change of mind" God wants to see). You must sincerely regret having sinned against God, and come to the point of hearing and agreeing 100% with Jesus' message saying, "I do not condemn you, now go and don't sin anymore" (John 8:11). Your obedience as you choose to follow God's ways is key--that's how you show your faith to God (John 3:36, Luke 6:46, Hebrews 3:17-18). That opens the door to receiving his *forgiveness* for your past sins (2 Peter 1:9), *healing* (Luke 5:31-32), *freedom from sin/addictions* (John 8:34-36), and the gift of *a new life* that you will live for God and no longer for sin and the passing things of the world (Romans 6:4, 2 Corinthians 5:17, Galatians 6:15). That is the salvation you must make sure you have experienced: freedom from sin (John 8:36, Romans 8:1-2) versus bondage to sin (John 8:34, Romans 7:23). Approaching God in genuine repentance will lead to you receiving the Holy Spirit to lead you to "walk by the Spirit" (Acts 2:38, Galatians 5:16)--with a pure heart and self-control, which is a fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23). Any habit that controls you reveals idolatry in your heart. You have to choose to be done with that and it will be part of your past. That's one thing that will come out of your commitment to be obedient to God for the rest of your life. Please see 1 Peter 4:1-3 and 1 Thessalonians 1:9. James 1:21-22 21 Therefore, putting away all filthiness and overflowing of wickedness, receive with humility the implanted word, which is able to save your souls [that's repentance]. 22 But be doers of the word [that's faith, which implies obedience], and not only hearers, deluding your own selves. Hebrews 5:9 And having been made perfect, He [Jesus] became the author of 👉 *eternal salvation to all those who obey Him [...].* Please stay in the word and obey it (James 1:21-22). The word of God is fuel for your faith. To live as a follower of Jesus you must go out of your way to put the word of God in your heart and keep it there, rejecting all distractions. It's a fight and that's how you need to stand to not fall down. The truth will set you free from all sin (John 8:31-32, 36).

I always hear not to make promises to God because we don't know what tomorrow will bring. I know not to make a promise that I'll never commit this certain sin ever again in life, but I've made a promise to God in writing I wouldn't commit it for one month. The month has passed, now I promised two months. And the sin I have struggled with is getting easier to flee from as it has not been a part of my life. I hold this promise extremely important as I want to show God I love Him and want to feed off His spirit rather than my flesh.

I am not that brave to confess to anyone because the world including myself is too judgmental. I struggle with the same sins these people do. Part of it is the Holy Spirit alerting us to things we don't think are sin but actually are. And there are many many layers of change to come. We're used to living in darkness, following the desires of body and mind. Our lives before Christ are spent learning and living that darkness is light, and justifying wrongdoing as a result. "Have a heart of repentance." Amen, brother!! :) - Romans 2:4-7. Martin Luther basically said, in his first 4 theses, that a Christian life is a life of repentance. I truly believe faith and repentance goes hand in hand. Not only has repentance helped me, but understanding what Paul said in Romans 8:13, too. To overcome any sin it has to be done "through the Spirit," as Paul points out in verse 13. Mortify the deeds of the body through the Spirit. We are also commanded to "walk in the Spirit" as Galatians chapter 5 points out. There is nothing outside of ourselves to help us overcome sin. Only inside, through the Holy Spirit. Not prayer beads, sacramental confession (which excludes Jesus), yoga, peace pipes...you get the idea. :)

I keep falling into the same sin, I'm learning now that I have to learn to hate that sin. I'm no longer running in shame, and I repent non-stop. I'm only 4 months into being saved and I must say that it makes me depressed even when I'm sinning. I will say that I'm learning to be like David and worship him after I sin, I'm no longer playing lawyer to my sin or trying to justify my sin. I will also say I just want to grow in my journey and not keep fighting with this wicked way of life that I'm entrenched in it doesn't even feel right when I fall. please pray for me. It is important that you answer God's call to repentance the way the Bible teaches. You must sincerely regret having sinned against God, and come to the point of hearing and agreeing 100% with Jesus' message saying, "I do not condemn you, now go and don't sin anymore" (John 8:11). Your obedience as you choose to follow God's ways is key. That opens the door to receiving his *forgiveness* for your past sins (Romans 3:25), *healing* (Luke 5:31-32), freedom from sin/addictions (John 8:34-36), and the gift of *a new life* that you will live for God and no longer for sin and the passing things of the world (Romans 6:4, 2 Corinthians 5:17, Galatians 6:15). That is salvation. It is the truth that will set you free (John 8:31-32, 36).

Chizaram Asia I think sometimes we get caught up in judging others because we get judged, and there are more people judging and not many people who don't. We pick up habits we don't mean to because we are around those very habits. I am still not in the clear about the difference between judging and discerning, but I know we cannot tell a person where their eternity is, we don't know that. When I was 37, maybe going on 38, the Lord spoke to me ( not audibly, but I felt what He was revealing ) and told me that people do the things they do because they lack peace in their hearts. My advice, if you want to take it, or if sounds good to the Lord, the next time and here on out, as many times as needed, when having a judgmental thought, think or say "I take the authority and the blood of Jesus Christ against you evil spirit of Jugmental thoughts and I send those evil thoughts to the pits to be consumed with fire, and I command peace in my own spirit, and I command peace in the spirit of _____" and fill in the blank with the person's name or description, like letter carrier for instance. As for pride, we prolly struggle with it because we notice what others have, and covet it for ourselves, and have dreams for ourselves like others do, and have various desires and hard when we don't have ours coming true when others do. Also when we have been injured, it is hard not to want to get back at the person, forgive, and wish them well. But for us to remember, peace comes after we've come to live within the Lord's will for our lives, and the more you bless Him with the right heart, the more He blesses us, and the more you walk into His will, the more things fall into place. Along the way you may even have new desires, and find it easier to make His thoughts and His ways to become yours. Then, when you're focused on advancing the kingdom of God first and foremost, and get caught up in that, you may find it easier to walk into humility and come to understand the Lord wants you to live a blessed life, but when we face tough times see what lessons we shall learn from it, or find the opportunity in it. For one, it can be about learning more about the power of prayer and speaking to the mountain and casting it into the sea. Or become of help and solace to those going through similar things. I have three deeply problematic sin 1)Meladaptive daydreaming: where everytime life gets to hard i sort of distance myself from the world by daydreaming of fictional people, or sometimes myself with a different life. And this might some harmless, it's just daydreaming right? Wrong. Coz the thing is I can spend countless hours per day thinking of scenerios in my head. Its like binge watching seasons everyday your favorite shows. And then i used to imagine these characters have sex etc which lead to actual pornography later on. And Meladaptive daydreaming used to make me so happy that when the holy spirit started showing that its bad i wanted to make a compromise to continue daydreaming but without the sex part but then later on God told me it's bad because it became like an idol in. My heart My second reoccurring sin was pornography which I'm deeply ashamed of and i never thought I would be falling into it 3) is blaspheme. Most of the time it happens in my head unwillingly. Its become so bad that sometimes when I'm not blaspheming I'm afraid that I will and then end up blaspheming anyways. I'm confessing because the bible says if you confess to others you will be healed

Or did you mean RESTITUTION, the restoration of something lost or stolen to its proper owner. For example, if l stole or defrauded you of $500, me apologizing and asking forgiveness is great but you're still out $500. If l'm TRULY repentant l will give you back AT LEAST the money l stole. (See the amazing repentance of Zaccheus in Luke 19:1-10) Or did you perhaps mean RECONCILIATION? (i.e. the restoration of friendly relations)

Hey, I have recently been spending endless hours on social media, and I have been exposing myself to so many inappropriate, worldly things. I'm starting to get entertained by it again. God is telling me to stop and come to Him for better everlasting joy and love. He says to me that it will be worth it in the end. I'm thankful that I even heard that!
