As a Nuggets fan I am not blaming Westbrook the entire 2nd unit looked terrible. Murray and Porter Jr. looked terrible. Gordon got cooked by SGA the only people who played well was CB and Jokic. You can’t ask klay at this stage to come off of screen action every play and defend as well. That’s the difference. He will have plays that he will have to run but he has 2 of the best ISO players that will take most of the offensive baggage and most times than not he will be open without even moving. No one is discrediting the warriors but I will not act like that Fanbase did not tear the man down for 1 bad game at the end of the season like he did not average 18ppg on 39% from 3. He will have shooting slumps ? Sure, but he has 2 guys that can cover for that. Who covered klay’s bad nights last year ? Steph all alone ? Draymond that ends most games on single digits scoring ? There’s more to this than “klay shot 0/10 in an elimination game and the warriors were bad because of him”.
