For frost dk you can throw in a deathcoil on afflicted targets. Sometimes one will full heal or you might need 2. Its a huge dps loss though.

Enhance is just a task to play. Hard to play well and a ton to keep up on. Its fun but becomes work after a bit that just becomes lack luster after playing it for an extended time if your using the spec to its full potential. Hard as melee to keep out of stuff and avoid as much DMG as possible due to the short range resulting in most enhance shams dying to often if your not perfect. I've mained sham for almost 10 years and usually lean ele but lately switched to prot pally to change it up as I've never tanked the entire 18.5 years of play. Found out the play loop of pally is so much more simple that I'm able to play it extremely well due to playing an arguably more difficult class for so long.

Frost is super fun but my biggest issue was that frost dks wouldnt get invited to groups. It felt like there was a stimga that frost dks dont do damage (they slap) because there arent enough good dks or something

with no Ret on the list... Survival hunter, for one reason only: Lunge. Having extra attack range is so stupidly strong in avoiding damage.

I would go for survival with frost as an alt. Two very underplayed classes that would be great to watch. Love shaman as a class (especially visually)

Sounded more excited for frost. Would try that and see how far it takes you. Not like it's extremely hard to go survival or enh if it doesn't workout when you get gear

hey if you wanna try something new like frost dk then go for it keeps the game fresh imo. Im still loving enhance even tho like you I prefer the storm build. Edit: It is extremely frustrating when tanks pull packs out of DnD, this happened all the time when I played unholy.

Hearing your thoughts and how I view the specs I'd lean Frost DK or Survival. Frost DK is super fun (even though im personally a fan of the breath build) but the death and decay thing tilts me to no end when playing obliteration. That being said I'd slightly favor frost DK over survival just for the survivability factor alone haha. You also have some pretty good self healing with death strike if need be (at the cost of some dps ofc) Forstwyrm's fury is such a fun talent and in M+ with all the freezes it's really nice too. If they ever made it so you can move out of your dnd or better yet tie the cleave to remorseless winter (please blizzard) i would even main the class. Not much experience with enhancement shaman in many expansions so cant comment on that

Go DK, but know the luster of Frost is gonna wear off quick. Big number on a Fischer Price rotation is only fun for a little while. Then you'll fall in love with Blood and never wait to get into a group again.

For me, SV is excellent fun and super mobile. Squishy, but you have the tools to survive if you plan ahead. I struggle with EnhS rotation, it requires more concentration and micro-managing. I can never get any decent numbers out of it. It can spec heal, which is a massive bonus. Never played Frost, but if you look at raid logs it's constantly either worst or near the bottom. I have never seen a FDK out DPS me.

Hey, I'm a beginner at WoW a d recently tried out Survival Hunter and I really like their playstyle! But I've been discouraged pretty quickly, because of how low it is ranking in every tier list I've looked at (M+ as well as Raid)... What you say about that? Do you still recommend this spec and can you still compete at all? Thanks in advance

@@jonoxis Ignore tier lists, they get their info from logs which only show the top 1% The classes are all very well balanced in retail so you can play and enjoy anything. My only concern with Hunters is their survivability, they take more skill to stay alive than top meters.

I also have huge Nastalgia for the enhance. They have great cc but the rotation isn't fun anymore with the primordial wave, I just don't enjoy it. Survival hunter is cool chucking bombs but the rotation is pretty boring single target. Frost dk seems like the best choice with the new set bonus for fun and if you end up not liking you can always go unholy!

Enh sham the range thing is just such a big deal for me. But I would say my reaction speed is not as good at 47, as it was in vanilla that contributes to me wanting positional flex. Surv hunter at high keys people are running the no CD build. Personally I find surv hunter amazing fun. Frost DK , oh Frost DK. How I loved you back in ICC. For me the current build needing d&d so much to be good just makes puggijg a nightmare. If the group is good you feel like a god, if it's bad you feel like a gimp with a ball in your mouth

Don’t play DK. It’s great idea and super cool spec but current iteration of its gameplay with cleave in d’nd will make you want to jump out the window. Pug tanks, mechanics, swirlies , all run away mechanics - you’ll spend 90% of time being completely frustrated and having fun maybe 10%. Just wait for rework it should be better in next patch. For now avoid. Any GCD in pillar not used punished your dmg in a huge huge way. There is a reason even old time DKs have stopped playing the spec - it’s impractical, clunky and ST dmg with this tier will be crap same as it was in season 2. I’m main DK and would say if you want to have fun in all content all the time - avoid frost dk. it will be fun just until you realize how crappy current gameplay is

I ended up choosing Frost as my DPS main in Season 4... I hear what you're saying for sure... Since choosing Frost as my DPS main, I've run almost 50 dungeons, and I actually enjoy the challenge of knowing when/where to place my D&D for optimal cleaning. I totally understand the frustration you're talking about, but again, it's a challenge that I want to learn how to tackle. I play this game for that challenge... I never want to play specs that are easy, it takes the fun out of the game for me. So this spec is perfect, and I will learn how to get some big numbers in Season 4. :)

On the other hand you can always go unholy which plays much better currently and blood is very good as well - you get leggo for all 3 specs so not waisted time gearing if it happens to turn out that frost won’t work for any reason👍👍
