Hello Pam, I am also from the south, but southern Germany, Bavaria, Lake Constance. It's called Elvis because that's his song. If you read on, it also says: Cover Chris. This means that I (Christian or as my colleagues call me “Chris”) covered this song. It's a beautiful gospel song by Elvis and I'm singing it here for my mother, who passed away in 2016.
