HELP PLEASE Vw Golf 1.6FSI MK5 2003-2009 staggering/ misfiring engine

HELP PLEASE!
I have had numerous mechanics scanning the vehicle and changed EGR valve twice in the past 2 weeks as well as MAP sensor, all coil packs and car has been service recently- still no luck...
Can anyone identify what could be wrong?

If you have performance problems check the high pressure fuel pump take it off under there is a cam follower in there just check it to see if you have any wear and not a big hole threw it needs to be checked and replaced 60000 miles or every service and give everything a clean

I have similar issue, but for me it's the distribution kit, it's not properly calibrated.

it could be a bad power supply to the ecu via a faulty engine bay fuse box i had a vw mk5 with a similar issue and despite the numerous replacements of the egr valve, camshaft position sensor and the vvt solenoid the sporadic misfires wouldn't go away until i finally decided to replace the whole engine bay fuse box and the car worked perfectly.

You have problem with valves in head engine and camshaft.

Try the vvt solenoid at the top un plug it while running engine and if it levels it out the is probably the cause I have the same problem now

So that’s was the EGR problem ? Because I have took my EGR out and clean it didn’t make no difference at all

I have the same problem as you. Also cleaned my egr yesterday. Did you check your egr gears?

First thing u have to scan in in professional tool like vcds 2nd thing look like the ecu lose the communication with other part.. like BCM , GATEWAY... That's why u don't see any fualt

hi i have the same problem and no error code either I change the gas filter, the candles, the coils, the throttle body, clean the egr change the pcv valve, clean the oil separator and the problem and always present

vincent miler I have found the problem- both new EGR valves were aftermarket- car doesn’t recognise it properly as there might be minor difference.... I cleaned old EGR valve and ensured all connectors are nice and tight as previously had SHORT TO GROUND- in the connectors port wire #6. Car drives like a dream with the same EGR VALVE!

I've got the same problem but I've got one eleven it came up with the fault code cam position sensor this will be my second time I've changed it hope this helps it's definitely not a fuel issue

If anyone has this problem it's cam position sensor fault or crank sensor fault it's not a fuel issue I've got obd eleven I've just got the problem 2 weeks ago I've cleaned everything and only today put my scan tool on cam position sensor fault hope this helps
