On the Saturday after Thanksgiving in 1986 I purchased a 1986 Mercedes Benz 300E 5-speed with 98 miles on its clock. I was the first owner to get a title for this car based on the CofO, Certificate of Origin, of which I have a copy. I still have the car with an estimated 320-340K miles on it. The ODO died at 297K miles almost twenty years ago. I was considering some AMG goodies for it like a limited slip diff. I have a period correct AMG catalog and a letter to me from the NJ AMG but non-MBNA dealer with a complete price list. The car is almost completely original except for the conversion to R134a refrigerant.

My friend Vic (RIP) helped build the original AMG Hammers up in (if memory serves) Westmont IL. and had the scrapbook to prove it. He also built the wing for the "83“ Countach I had the opportunity to drive. It weighed 11 lbs. when finished, way lighter than the original, and I have the pictures to prove that. RIP Vic, you could really bend some metal ol friend.

Hey John, There was a mint either blue or black AMG Hammer floating around Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. I know that it was sitting in a vehicle storage facility in 2016. My guess is that it is part of an estate as I remember seeing that vehicle when back in the 90's.

I had a all white early SEC 4 dr AMG (before AMG being owned by MB). I bought it in auction late 80s to find out the car used to be owned by a cocaine dealer so I stored the car for decades in San Francisco. Then I sold it cheap at ebay for only 5k to a buyer in Texas years ago! I should have kept it as it looks so cool and fast! My long time wealthy German client had a silver AMG Hammer in Germany he also sold it years ago!

Pretty sure theres a hammer coupe near my house but idk if it is or not, I dont know much about the cars but it looks like one from the back, the front however is like one but the front bumper is kind of pointy if that makes sense, maybe its just the fact that the middle section of the front lip is missing and the cars in pretty bad condition.

@@b888cky the car was owned by a prince in Monaco who crashed it, and by some ways it ended up in Serbia. During its times in Serbia it was driven by most notorious criminals, the most famous one being Zabac. After the crazy 90s ended and criminals either dying or getting arrested the diablo goes missing. Some sources claim its being stored somewhere after being repainted, others claim it was stolen in Netherlands or Germany, but the most repeated story and probably the right one is that after the diablo went missing some either shady bussinessman or criminal from Novi Sad bought it and is keeping it hidden to this day.

@@serbo2206 That car was regulary parked in front of my building somewhere between 1997-1998. Yes, Zabac drove it, but it wasn't his car. It was repainted in red by Atko, famous car painter and it was in Novi Sad around 2001-2002. After that, I have no idea where did it go....

I know this car and the owner. And I won’t tell you, nor he will. The car is not for sale, it’s not lost; I wanted to get it for my friend, and one day I will, either for him, or for myself, lol. The other thing is that your point of interest is to re-sell the car, and I have zero tolerance of that as it’s not a need. Cars should be played and enjoyed, before their values skyrocket. When they skyrocket, you take the dreams of youth out of people’s lives and it’s bad. Only good if you are that Resale Ronnie. So let it be where it’s at. It never been a US car, and there are plenty of US Hammers out there, made by Hartmut Feyhl.

Hey John, question. The automobile industry is being forced to go electric by the likes of Europe and California. Given that you're focused on classic 90's 80's Super cars: 1. Do you see your business model changing or adapting to the trend? 2. Do you think ICE vehicles will be around for another 100 years or more or do you think gasoline stations will begin to shut down and ICE relegated to museums and no longer derivable due to the lack of gasoline? 3. Do you think synthetic fuels from the likes of Carbon Engineering Ltd. will save the ICE and these old super cars? 4. Do you think there will be legislation at the federal level to protect these old ICE due to synthetic fuels and lift the ICE ban and would you support such legislation? 5. How do you feel about the state of California setting the standard for the Auto industry for the entire nation in regards to its ICE Ban coming in 2035? Many Automobile companies have announced a commitment to go electric and no longer produce ICE cars due to these ICE bans. I would love to hear your thoughts & in the future I'll be coming to see you to buy a car. I'm 90's kid and I love 90's Super cars. I'm working hard in real estate here in California and I really don't want to see my dream of owning a 1998 Lamborghini Diablo SV which I 1st laid eyes on in the PS1 game Need for Speed 3 Hot Pursuit be shattered should they begin to tax ICEs out of existence. It's this single car that's driving me to accumulate wealth so I can own it one day hopefully not too many years from now. I'm not into diamonds or gold or watches or shoes or anything flashy, I'm just a simple car guy that Loves the 98' Diablo SV. P.S. I don't vote for Democrats, to hell with them.

There is a guy in the UK that has a few 80s Mercedes that were specially made for rich Arabs. Don't know if they were AMG cars as there were a lot of tuners out in that time period. PS eny Mercedes from the 80/early 90s is worth buying ,not just AMG models.

I know the location of the white 4 door Hammer that was purchased by Sylvester Stallone. It is still low miles and meticulously maintained. Stallone did not have it long, he sold it and bought a black/black widebody Koenig Special SEC.

i live pretty much next to the Mercedes Factory in Stuttgart, Germany. Every Sundays there is a classic car meet organized by Mercedes themselves right in front of the Museum. I think one Hammer has been there but the interior was awful. It was black on the outside but the inside was blue greenish really bright turquoise. What do you think about the E36 Amg Wagon ?

But for my expirience, the French dont want to speak English or can not ??? You maybe need a Translator!!! Anyway, the car is sick, but worth 250K ??? 15 -20 years ago nobody wanted a cl or a old e-class, the markets here a vacuum-cleaned, and I asume most of the really good cars are gone to East-Europe. You see this with Rallye-Golfs, R32-Golfs, R34 Skyline, automatic Supras are still stable, R5 Turbo, Clio V6, most of the rare Cars have trippeled in price the last 15 years. sorry for the shitty english
