Helping Ducks and Geese and other birds survive winter by feeding them. They can struggle to survive in winter as many people don't go out often to feed them during this time. I do my best to feed as many birds as I can during this time.

Wow, so many geese and ducks living side by side in harmony when feeding… I feed ducks and geese at my local nature reserve once or twice a week. (i don’t feed then bread). 😊

Feeding from your hand too 😱 only a few of the wild ducks will do that and I've been feeding them for quite a few years. I haven't really pushed it on them though.

Haha hand feeding is amazing too! Try putting the food in the palm of your hand and stick it out far as you can. If they see lots of food on the ground they won’t take it from your hand. This is just my experience! I’m happy you’re also helping the waterfowl and thank you for the comment! 🙂

Hello Sarah! I feed them brambles swan and duck food:). I’m happy you are thinking about feeding your local ducks as they will appreciate the food especially during cold climates. I’m sure pet shops will have other foods for you to give them or you could look up online to find something you can give. Please don’t give them bread though.
