How do you restore the only bridge to a World Heritage site that thousands of visitors cross each week? And as we look to the future, what repairs are needed to sustain Fallingwater for the next generation?
Join Justin Gunther, Conservancy vice president and director of Fallingwater, and Scott Perkins, director of preservation and collections, as they share the story behind major preservation projects accomplished in 2021 and the plans to care for Fallingwater into the coming years.
ABOUT FALLINGWATER:
Fallingwater is hailed internationally as a masterpiece of 20th century architecture and is Frank Lloyd Wright’s most recognized example of the harmonious union of art, architecture and nature. Entrusted to the Western Pennsylvania Conservancy in 1963, this dramatically cantilevered house over a waterfall was designed in 1935 for its natural setting and inscribed to the UNESCO World Heritage List in 2019.
