I recently moved to the area you serve in. I was on Grant this morning by Freeway & this woman threw the cold water I gave her on the ground. The next person I gave it to jumped for joy. Just goes to show not everyone is receptive to kindness. I’ve given out flashlights, keep cold drinks in a cooler & given out bananas. Not trying to tread on your territory (lol) just trying to help! I used to do this in New Hampshire & Florida, it only seemed right to stick to it here in Arizona. God bless you Michael

The last video with her really started to make me change how I felt about her because how she came off so ungrateful but then I had to sit back and realize that breaking any type of ADDICITION is hard has hell & it's just sad seeing people who would rather suffer on the streets then take up your offer in getting help. Some people are just a loss cause, no matter how much you try to help they just won't get the help, it just sucks because now that burden is placed on other people who are trying to help them get better but they choose not too. I really wish she snapped out of it but her drug addiction just isn't allowing her to walk away to start a fresh new start. Even when she told you there was an atm close by that annoyed me, it's like girl get you ass in the damn car and go to treatment already.

It's easier said than done to pick oneself back up off the ground when they've hit a point like this. It's easy to say that they should do this or they should do that but at this point they don't even have a place to wash up to even do something like apply for a job, they don't have a home so if they fill out a job application, they have no address to put down, they don't have decent clothes to wear to a job interview, they don't have a decent place to sleep so they can be refreshed for work. Once a person has become homeless, a lot of landlords don't want to rent to someone whose been homeless. More so than people in this position need to change, it's society that needs to do the changing so people in this position actually have a chance to get out of it.

Michael already offered her a new start but she don't want to, it don't matter if you send her to a different country, she still would have to first deal with her demons when it comes to drugs. Once she can admit that she has a drug problem then that's when the healing starts but she clearly doesn't want to change not yet anyways

Michael my Montgomery County neighbor, first of all God bless what you continue to do. Jessica has really changed on how she acts over the times. She is getting very demanding of you and is taking advantage of your kindness. In my opinion and everyone reading this I'm from the Philadelphia area and I help the homeless here. She needs to sooner or later step up and take care of her end of the bargain and get treatment. She is one that possibly can be saved. She just needs to get off the tranq/ pills etc. She can be a part of society and work. She uses her ability to manipulate people still and control people. I know you have done counseling and worked with drug addicts but there is a fine line of feeding them and enabling them. I pray for you all the time because you have a great heart but I think it's time to have a final heart to heart with her. I can see how she is on the streets and why people need to bully her. And please never ask why her addict BF doesn't fight him. There is enough on the streets with homeless. Tell her to find another corner.

I feel for that man's suffering with his legs. As someone who has an ongoing leg wound from lymphedena I can only imagine what he is going through. I wonder why there are no mobile clinics to care for people like him? Our Drs don't hesitate to volunteer in other countries so why can't they do it here when there is such a terrible need.

On a side note, as a 68 year old who did a "lot" of different types of drugs during the 70's & 80's, I never came across or did any that would make my skin peel off my body or make my teeth fall out & if I did, there is absolutely no way in hell I would have done them. Angel Dust was the end of heavy drugs for me. People these days will ingest "anything" into their bodies no matter the consequences. That's not to say the drugs I did were good for me by any means, they just weren't spiked with anything & everything under the kitchen sink by someone out to make a quick buck. It's awful. Makes my heart ache.

I'm 67. I'm so glad that these horrible kind of drugs were not around in my younger days. Worse I did was alcohol and smoking cigarettes. But I stopped all that at 19 yrs old. When I was 22 I became a Christian. Hard to imagine how these poor people got in such a mess.

The youngest of my 6 (I started using between #3 and #4, got sober because I found out I was pregnant with #3. I'm a firm believer I don't get to CHOOSE what substances (illegal) goes into my child) I used between, my youngest "sixx" as we call him. He walked into the bathroom at 3 and saw me getting high. He asked me to try it . He was 3 EFFING years old! So I believe Jessica can stop! I believe she absolutely CAN get clean. I hate that I share my raw story with someone who obviously will never understand. I didn't do it for you. I did it in the hopes maybe Michael will show it to Jessica.
