A swollen testicle in a horse can have many causes, including: Trauma: A common cause of scrotal swelling in breeding stallions, trauma can lead to testicular hemorrhage, rupture, or orchitis. Infection: A bacterial infection, such as orchitis or epididymitis, can cause scrotal swelling. Viral disease: Equine viral arteritis (EVA) is a preventable disease that can cause a testicle to swell. Hernia: An inguinal hernia can cause scrotal swelling. Lester, I know you don't have a lot of time, but is it possible to sit with treats for them to get used to you. Start with 10 min, then throw them on the ground by the water. It may take the horses a couple weeks to come around, but it takes patience. I will adopt them.

Yawning horses are a sign of relief. And it’s true, different ways of raising/having animals for sure. There’s livestock types, there’s nurtured types, sporting types, and there’s living in the wild types. And like you said times are tough. You have no idea how or what the neighbors are going through or not.

The neighbour that owns the horses is amenable enough to allow Lester and Jami to accommodate the horses basic needs without needing permission. That in itself is not the norm and as followers, we don't need to screw that up with personal opinions.
