Thank you kind; Sir I just started to go allin with music and want to make the most of my gear and with all the vst starting to pile up I figured I better invest most of my learning into a more efficient workflow...given I have all the hardware I need to learn how to use it accordingly to stop messing with me mouse an browser windows so much 😘

Great Work. But Why cant Nektar offer recent updates for remote maps that we can download and install??
@PoohBearsReasonChannel4 жыл бұрын
The simple answer is money. Would need to pay someone to do it. They have kept the stock devices nearly up to date (R10). I just have Beat Map to release, the mapping is done and then our mappings are up to date with regards to the R11 suite but I want to do RP's B.I.T. with that release.

PoohBear's Reason Channel Yould be a prime candidate as long as NEKTAR paid you a handsome salary. Great work with the vids. I’ve only just discovered Nektarine so I’ll put some time into learning that for my P6.
@PoohBearsReasonChannel4 жыл бұрын
There is a new version Nektarine coming out, in beta, I think it's public beta now, supports effects as well. I still think that Nektar missed the boat by not creating a community portal for these new maps, I did suggest it to them however I suppose that would need managing and we come back to that money thing again :) TBH For Reason I'm sticking to the normal mappings... shame Nektarine does not output to readable file, could have written a conversation program.. ho-hum....

Great work so far! It's amazing to see what you can do with this keyboard! Stupid question though : which file are you updating in this video ? and where is it on the disk ?

Carly, is this the right video to start with? I'd love to get a mapping of Rob Papen's Predator 3, but not sure where to help or start.
@PoohBearsReasonChannel3 жыл бұрын
Hi, TBH I'm not really doing the mappings anymore, (spent 5 years doing them) I have done a couple this year but I have been working on my Voltage Modular modules (released about 20 this year). Now I did do all the other RP mappings and I do have Pred 3, just had a quick look at the remote file and it's not going to be a small mapping, now if you want to make a start using the process in the video I will take that info and turn it into a mapping, the hardest part is deciding on what goes on what page, now you don't have to get it 100% right, start with OSC's (1/2/3) then filters, Envelopes and FX's, we can worry about the other stuff later. Does that help? You can PM me on Facebook or Reasontalk

Hi there Poohbear, nice video. I had purchased my P4 back in August of 2018 all was great til I noticed something strange going on. I wanted to ask if you have experienced this before with your P4 and reason. Sorry I forgot to mention that I use Reason 12. Here is the problem i am having whenever the music is stopped in reason while I'm in sequencer window, I see a signal coming thru on a highlighted track in the sequencer window. Have you had this issue before? If so, what did you do to fix it?
@PoohBearsReasonChannel2 жыл бұрын
I have not seen this issue with a Nektar however it could be a faulty pot. So double check things with the P4 switched off, if the issue goes away you will have to look at other things, if it's still there, double check Reason 12 has not added the P4 midi ports in the "Easy Midi Input". Load up a device where all the controls have been assigned (mapped) hit record and see if any automation is recorded etc. this might help track the issue down.
@ivanvelez76682 жыл бұрын
@@PoohBearsReasonChannel yeah I learned that it was showing "expression" in the message section the midi monitor app. But I don't have anything plugged into the pedal port of the P4. So it seems its a faulty port and have to get it fixed.

ok.. after you have worked on exel. what is the procedure to save as remote file. because i have tried to open the remote file and it wont open in exel

Can you do another video more in detail with that vst or another one showing how the remote map looks when it's done? Also, tell us how do you test the map like you are in Reason while creating it to see if it works? Explain and show the process please? Where do you placeor insert the scope and info of the new vst you are mapping? Does it go at the end of the mapped vst's in the remote file? If so, do you need to create the necessary spaces need for that vst, then insert it? Or does it go all the way at the bottom of the page after the unmapped vst's? I'm new to this and have a lot of unmapped vst's.
@PoohBearsReasonChannel7 жыл бұрын
Good points and I will do one. When you do this stuff day in and day out you forget that other people have never done it at all.
@RomeAround7 жыл бұрын
Thanks. I appreciate it. Look forward to watching it.

I'm working on getting my first VST mapping to work hopefully. Are we only able to make pages like the basic VST's mapping in Reason? Or can it be mapped with menu options and on/off toggle (X1-X4), and faders mapped like the SubTractor Analog Synthesizer?
@PoohBearsReasonChannel7 жыл бұрын
This is how the final result works from a navigation point of view. kzbin.info/www/bejne/n5PYgmibZr9jnc0 When you have created a bank of 8, when I map them you then have a choice if you want to use them e.g. normal encoders or upper encoders or the faders. No menu however I support up to 64 pages on the data encoder and 128 pages over all (my ReSpire mapping came out to about 80 pages). We do have X4 spare (and X5 when needed as default I map that to Randomise). Mapping the X4/X5 takes up time and I tend to map these when I need to use a modifier (e.g. a knob that controls say a rate that switches between free running and sync'ed time )
@RomeAround7 жыл бұрын
That's pretty cool. Nice mapping. 80 pages is massive! I'll look into that template soon as i get the hang of this.
