Im an artist not a engineer, i was about the give up coz i learned making beats then i learned i need to mix it oh it done then master it everythin good? Track vocals mix it then master it and get dissapointing results im really about the give up haha but ur vids the only thing im still hangin there. I hope one day ill be reach a sound good as u are. 1. DRESSING THE MIC: *Best thing is a toned room but if not - Mic Shieds - Pop filters 2. RECORDING LEVEL - Peak at -10DB - comfortable at 12-18db Avoids distortion from hitting 0 3. DISTANCE FROM MIC: *Proxomity Effect: () Closer to Mic is more bass. () Further away is more Open. - Sweet spot: 3 inches away - Close: (More plosives, more bass, more percussive vocal) - Mad Far: more top end, looser feel, can hear roomy sound 4. RECORDING WITH PROCESSING: it’s better

Might not see this but I've recently just did everything in this video! I recorded a track and had my plugins on, had my mic filter inches away from the mic, and recorded my vocals low enough to only have the focusrite hitting green even at the loudest part. This was a game changer for my recordings.

Bro you can cop a mic shield from 50-100 bucks the gate thing can sound really bad. A gate will only try to mask whats there. a mic shield can help limit that from the recording
@HelpMeDevvon4 жыл бұрын
The Internetz I could show you countless of recordings I’ve recorded with this thing in hotel rooms, bedrooms etc. it makes a HUGE difference I don’t believe anyone that has made a video saying other wise huge mistake in my opinion to not having one in a room that is not optimal

I stand to be corrected, but in FL studio, the plugin effects are actually burnt into the recording, so I find it very limiting to record with plugins engaged. So I only record with the T-racks mic room plugin to emulate a better sound and a CLA compressor for slight peak reduction. Great video btw, love your stuff!
