It’s mostly dark in Helsinki during winter months but not 24/7 darkness. A typical day during December-January will have more or less 6 hrs of day light.

No vehicles allowed in the central Helsinki except tram? How the business people reach shops? How they carry goods? I am surprised to see this.

In Helsinki some of the central streets have restrictions for the private cars, though service traffic is allowed typically. There also are underground service tunnels. A fun fact: Some of the streets have heating pipes, so snow/ice melts away in winter. This is a part of the central heating system that covers all Helsinki, like all cities and towns in Finland.
