This woman was a woman of faith and what she said of a supreme being in God has brought her this far what a testimony. She even helped incarcerated prisoners before her death. Wow what she did in her life is what it’s all about. Glad I saw this on you Miss Doris Tate.

I'm 26 the same age Sharon was when she died and I've only started learning about the Manson family murders and Sharon's legacy. Doris Tate is the unsung hero in this tragedy along with Debra who has continued the fight. Thank you for the upload, her voice was important then and is still important now 🖤

It was very heartbreaking too find out some of her last words too Patti and Paul were "I've been in so much pain for so long I'm ready to stop feeling pain and go see Sharon now".. She passed away during that night. Especiallys since she died of brain cancer and had to be in a trenoundous amount of physical pain yet Patti said the pain she seemed to be talking about was the pain nothing had fixed and that she had been carrying since August 1969. I thought it was very beautiful although sad that Patti told her that she could go, that she would stay here and take care keeping Sharon's killers behind bars, that she could go to Sharon and leave it to Patti. Then the injustice for Patti to also die before Sharon's murderers (other than Susan in 09) and far to young is heartbreaking.. I can't imagine how Paul Tate must've felt losing his whole family. All of her murderers other than Susan have outlived Sharon's whole immediate family (other than Debra but I'm not touching THAT subject other than too say the Colonel disinherited her and he was a loving, rational man so think about those implications. She has used Sharon's corpse (and continues to) for every penny and nickel she can and is a disgusting human.) Therefore in my eyes, yes, they've outlived every single member of Sharons immediate family. And it's so sad. But Patti made her mother and sister proud and fought for them until she was no longer physically able.

Was Debra not very close to her mother and Patti? Even in this segment with Bill Nelson, I notice how she (Doris) does not go into much detail about Debra when Bill asks if this tragedy has affected the lives of her daughters.... just curious if you might know more about this area?

I support Mrs. Tate and her family's continuing efforts to keep the killers in prison. I do not personally agree with everything Mrs. Tate has said but I sign petitions and do what I can to support her efforts and those of her family. The killers took so much from this family and all the others who lost their loved ones. Crime robs the souls of victims and murder does so more than any other crime. The living victims are robbed of power and cannot restore their loved ones. This is why I support the Tate family and others 100% to keep the killers in prison. I think too of what it would be like to be one of the murderers. convicted in this heinous rampage of murder. If I ever killed anyone I would feel terrible for the rest of my life. I would feel bad if I committed man slaughter. If I deliberately killed another human being for any reason I would want to be in prison for the rest of my life. Therefore I think the best course for those convicted of these terrible murders would be to put their lives in the hands of the survivors like Mrs. Tate. When or if all survivors ask the system to parole the guilty, then it may happen. In the meantime the convicts should do as much good as they can within the prison system and stop wasting time and money asking for parole. One other thing: On some videos about Doris Tate's work, harsh things have been said about her daughter Debra. Some have said she is just keeping up the fight for personal publicity, etc. I assume one of her first appearances at a parole hearing, about the year 2,000, was after her mother's death and possibly after the death of her sister Patty. Debra was extremely emotional and could not finish reading a prepared statement. Debra was just beginning her life when at age 16, her sister Sharon and unborn baby was so horribly murdered. At a time when a young woman needs her mother and sisters, the family was plunged into shock and grief for years. Debra's sister Patty died far too young and the whole burden of the family's work fell on Debra's shoulders after the passing of their father in 2005. Most of Debra's life has been blighted by horror and I feel sad that anyone feels the need to write callous comments about her in social media.

+Runar Balto Doris Tate made herself a public figure and therefore open to all kinds of criticism. She is a woman who let herself be completely ruled by her own hatred, bitterness and desire for revenge and this contributed to both her and her daughter Patti's untimely deaths.
