I love these playthroughs! It’s sometimes hard to pick out the individual parts with so much going on. After these playthroughs I can hear the individual parts much better on the new album. I vote you do a playthrough for every Eluveitie song ever! ;-)

Riffs are everything. ❤️ I feel like she kills it too, have you listened to the last Cellar Darling album? :) It's full of gurdy solos :D Give it a try if you haven't yet, it does not dissapoint!

@@michalina_malisz yes, but in Cellar Darling hurdy has leading role for obvious reason) While in Eluveitie we got a huge group of absoultely different performers with own instrument, and all of them should be shown. Before, hurdy and guitars served mostly for backbone rhytm, while solo parts was played by flute and violin. Now we have GUITAR SOLO'S (WOAHHH). In Eluveitie. And ,of course, you. So , I agree with Shane - in a terms of Eluveitie, you rised level of hurdy sections of songs to almoust leading level (at least in terms of Worship, Slumber and Deathwalker)

You are incredible, and I now love the Hurdy Gurdy. I agree, also, with previous comments, to hear you isolate this amazing instrument really gives you a sense of how it fits in to the band and you really start to be able to pick it out, which is fantastic. I personally found your performance so fun to watch an listen to since you perform such a unique instrument and you make it all your own with such a passionate sound. As a composer of original music themes for book trailers about comics that are performed on the guitar, I love hearing/seeing a variety of instruments and genres to get inspiration and you did just that with your emotive performance which also gives you a signature sound. Nice, this is my fav song from the album. Its just so nice. 2:05 onward is just a masterpiece. Its really pleasant into nice heavy into a really nice solo. The random talking part gives a great feel and the long chill outro just ends it perfectly. And the rest of the song is all good.

Fantastic video, thanks for sharing! The hurdy gurdy parts are not what I expected, I guess the hurdy gurdy was a bit lower in the mix of the original song, but it sounds great as-is. It would be great to have a double play through with Nicole, especially of this song, as you complement one another so well, maybe an idea for a future video? Found your old metal covers a couple years back after watching Rob Scallon's hurdy gurdy video but SOMEHOW missed checking out the band you're in--consider me a fan of both you and Eluvetie now \m/ This song is one of the best metal tracks I've heard in ages!!
