So the moment Hemant disagrees with the host, he cuts him off mid-sentence and immediately gives Tony a chance to speak before Hemant is finished. Fox News has always navigated conversations with guest hosts as verbal battles instead of open dialogue. I wish I could say I'm surprised by this disappointing behavior from their network but I'm not.

That age argument lol I hate it when I get that one. Yeah, I'm 24, and an atheist. I'm an atheist for the past 10 years, and sure - I don't know what the future will bring, but there are many atheists who are twice, and even thriple the age of me. While this seems like I'm trying to predict something, like they are doing, they're missing the overall trend, progression based on education, science, and technology. The more you look at the major religions of today, the more you're inclined to say it's all made up fairytales. I'm not saying people will completely stop beliving in a god, or gods, but the pinpointing of one specific one, with specific doctrines, and so on, this will eventually either die out, or kill us.

I mean, sure, sex and gender MOSTLY matches the genitalia you are born with. But since there exist numerous exceptions, even only genetically speaking, that don't match the standard XX or XY(like XXY, XXX, X, XXXY, XXXX, XXYY, to name a few) and even opposite genitalia with XX and XY people, we should not define sex strictly by genitalia. But that's not even the biggest problem, here. This equates gender to sex, which is not the same thing, according to science. Neither biologically, nor chemically, nor psychologically. Gender is a product of the cognitive and hormonal systems. That's why we address people with gender dysphoria with different gender than sex. The brain's structure and internal chrmistry matches the brains of the opposite sex. It is a scientific error to address people with gender dysphoria with the same gender as their biological sex. Sure, biological sex is still the most important part for most of medicine and nobody is arguing that. The problem is that socially, neurologically, cognitively and psychologically, gender is way more important than biological sex and gender dysphoria actually plays a big role in these fields. Not to mention that besides the fact that the idea that gender is always the same as biological sex and that that always matches one of the two "normal" sets of genitalia is factually incorrect, it also completely kills any and all trans rights, progress and equality, and maliciously introduces unnecessary undignified treatment of trans people under the law.

Although I agree with the content of what you said, I think that in the case of gender vs. sex, it would be more helpful to list some of the phenomena that science has found that would support your argument rather than attacking the other side. I think it'd be more helpful to talk about how estrogen / testosterone flares during certain stages of brain development can alter one's gender and that sex is one, but not the only, determining factor of gender, rather than just telling them they don't understand science.

What gender one is IS set at birth, and this has been known for centuries. The why of it was discovered when Watson and Crick discovered DNA. XX is a female, XY is a male, full stop. Often someone asks what about XXY or some other chromosome abnormality when a person says that one can't change one's gender as if one has anything to do with the other. No matter what surgeries are done and hormones given one cannot change one's gender. One still has XX chromosomes if that's what one started with and the same if one started with XY chromosomes. Bringing mutations or additional gender chromosomes into it is just an attempt to muddy the water.

What gender is a person born XY with a vagina? the genitalia at birth suggests female but when you look at the DNA it's male so which gender do you go with?? A person born XX at birth but with a penis what do you call them? Which gender do you select for that person? The genitalia are not the only considering factor in this question. The chromosomes are not the only considering factor in this question. There is nuance and a spectrum to this question.
