Thanks for the video gave me a reminder to step away from right angle weave for a moment. I actually made this room tonight. I did make a few changes I created a single row using 4 millimeter beads fire polished to be exact creating a nice more turtles looking domed ring. I use Capri blue as the primary color is a very beautiful green thank you for the tutorial and the inspiration

Stephanie, I just found your tutorials last week and I am so happy I did. Your teaching style is so easy for me to follow. I am not very good at color choices so I am so glad you include your materials list. I ordered everything to make this ring. I had a hard time finding some of the same beads. I hope your etsy store is opening soon so we can buy directly from you. Thank you for sharing your beautiful talent and designs.

It certainly looks harder to stitch than your video shows. I absolutely love this ring, thanks for pointing me in this direction! I have some Swarovski turquoise AB roundels, so I am definitely making this with galvanized silver & copper seed beads. Thanks so much for sharing your talent. You've inspired me so much, given me the needed impetus to get off my fanny and get to the business of creating. Thanks again.

Kathleen Schell Thank you so much Kathleen! I am thrilled that I was able to inspire you to start creating again! I believe as artists we have creating in our souls. This channel and the kind words of viewers keeps me at my studio (a corner in my bedroom lol). The ring is easier than you think - you just have to get to that ah-ha moment when you get the stitch! I am still waiting for that moment on many stitches myself :)

sorry for my englis, I am spanish but manage pretty well with it., I experimented some time ago and used miyuki drops at the top and turned out quite nice. About miyuki and toho seed beads I found out that most of the time the 11.0`s regular in shape than miyuki,. The ring took me very Little, I used 11.0 toho Antique bronze, 8.0 toho hematite, and 3mm silver&jet faceted checks, the ring looks beautifull, but not closed jet, I like to reinforce once and pass through all the beads again, I´m not i a hurry but its better for my ring.tks very much for your reply

Hi Stephanie! I just finished your ring!! After a couple of ripping sessions on the other side, (had to add thread) then lost my sticking out pattern I had to rip and redo. But it was pretty easy! I had a problem finding the correct 8/0 seed bead. It was more of a barrel than the rounded, but for a first time beader I am pretty proud of it. I am going to make another one and try to make it more perfect. I will post a picture of it on your FB Page... if that is ok... After the second ring I am going to try the bracelet... oh yes, I think I want to add 3 rows of the 3mm instead of the two. Thank you so much for your style in jewelry... MS

Hi Stephanie...I have to admit that I am one of those that was hypnotized by this ring you had on during another of your videos. I couldn't finish the video - I had to find the tutorial. They are all beautiful. But I spent a whole day making this one! They are very simple in construction but I ended up going through all my stashes, trying color combos and then backing it out. Deceptively simple! I realized that I didn't have hardly any 8-0's in my collection and had to run out to get some. The 8-0 is critical to step up from the 11-0s and get to use the really sparkly 3mm crystals, I think. Anyway, my construct was silver galvanized 11-0's, an AB transparent 11-0, some 11-0 pearl gray, 8-0 pearl gray, silver Miyuki triangles, and Swarovski bicones heliotrope. Now the only problem is that I have to make a matching bracelet! Anyway, I've just discovered you as a new "bead guru". I can see that you have a genuine love for the beads and things that you create - its kind of cute. And so much of your jewelry is wearable. Thank you so much for your work

KZbin occasionally holds comments for me to review if they are new and I can only see them on my computer (not on my phone or tablet) So I just saw your comment and think you are a sweetheart! I absolutely love your design for this ring and well, I love the the entire set! I am going to make me a set this weekend and I know this will be one of my favorite pieces to wear....thinking that I will make plenty more for gifts and some will show the bling and the others in a summer color (like some turquoise...going to graduate from some dark blue miyuki's for the band and/or my copper color for band and graduate from some semi precious stones or my fire polished ones to turquoise....so many possibilities and so little time ...I'll send you a pic when I am done....but first, I have to make one just like the one you made in your tutorial!..you are a great teacher and love your style too! Thanks so much for sharing and inspiring us...I just can't thank you enough for teaching us this beautiful creation! Those things I am using for my rings display. I hope this suggestion help. I love your all tutorial.

@BronzeponyBeadedJewelry9 жыл бұрын
Hi Yvette - I think using 6/0 and 4mm crystals might make your ring bigger! I could work but you'd still have to use 8/0's before the 6/0's so the graduation would flow nicely. Weave one row of 8/0's before the 6/0's and see how that works. You can try different combinations of sizes before you make the entire ring! Good luck and let me know how is goes 🌻

Stephanie, I need some help with this ring . Everything is fine until I start going down after I put the hematite. Thing just don’t line up as well as when I started going up. I tried this twice.
@BronzeponyBeadedJewelry5 жыл бұрын
I’m so sorry 😐 you are having difficulty! I’m sure it’s partly because of my terrible filming back then! I’ve improved greatly over the last few years😆🌸 Keep your tension tight so the beads slip into place. You can manually push them into place if necessary. If you are still having problems message me a picture to Bronzepony Facebook page and I’ll take a look.

I’m having the same problem. I tried several times to no avail. It seems as it should fit nicely but it doesn’t lineup. Any suggestions would be so appreciated. 💕

His Boundless Love Tension keeps this ring in line. Keep it tight and hold your beads in place. I am going to re make the video in the future so it can be followed properly.

Bronzepony Beaded Jewelry Thank you for responding so quickly. After I wrote the comment I search some of your other videos and I found the heaven bracelet and you explained it perfectly and I was able to see the tension that you put on the beads. That was solution. I made a ring today and it came out beautifully. thank you so much for all your excellent tutorials and sharing your awesome gift with us all and I’m a huge fan of your gorgeous designs. Thank you again😘

G'Day Stephanie, Just love the whole concept of this beautiful ring!!!! I will have to make mine thinner in the band width. This is due to my "small chubby Celtic hands and fingers". I have a small area to my first knuckle. When you started the second part of the band, I thought that this design would be good for a bracelet and then you mention it at the end -"great minds think a like"!!!! LOL. I have a lot of copper and iris tones beads and so my will have the lovely warm colours (as we are heading into Winter here). If you did the bracelet it would finish the necklace,ring and earrings and make a beautiful set. I can't wait t start it but it will have to wait as I am off to the Footy (Aussie Rules Football -- go Tigers) to night. It will be my "Saturday afternoon relaxation time" project ( with coffee or may be some home made veggie soup in hand). Once again thank you for thinking about doing some thing for us "Down Under's". Can't wait to see what you come up with - some thing with an Aussie theme to it perhaps. Thanks for the video and I look forward to hearing from you soon. Sisters in beading for ever. Chris.

Chris Phillips Just posted and noticed the "line effect running across the lines". I don't know it happened - sorry about that and hope you can read what is said. I am not sure how to clear it so I have just left it as is. Chris.
@BronzeponyBeadedJewelry9 жыл бұрын
Chris Phillips Hi Chris - The lines are there but I can read the text. Your ring colors sound lovely! The bracelet will be coming in a couple of weeks - I still haven't come up with a suitable tut for it yet. I'm thinking of something lovely and sparkly (a little bling is always nice in the winter) for my beading sisters "Down Under". If you have any suggestions I'd love to hear them xoxo
@chrisphillips18939 жыл бұрын
Bronzepony Beaded Jewelry Love the sound of "bling and sparkle". To me there's only one way to wear loads of gems around ones wrist e.t.c - with lots and lots of bling and sparkle. I have included some suggestions for you. Here in Down Under there are so many inspiring designs that could come from some of our flowers. Such as the beautiful Waratah, Bottle brush and the Flowering Gum, all have amazing Reds,Pinks,Oranges with flecks of Gold pollen, just to name a few. The beautiful Aquamarine and the bright colours of the Corals and Marine life of the Coral Sea to the deep Green and Blues (and sometimes Grey) of the Great Southern Ocean (which is were I live, down south in the colder part of OZ) The Green and Blue haze that comes from the vast Eucalyptus forests to the Tropical colours of the Rainforests. The breath taking Reds, Oranges of the Desert Sands. The beautiful colours of our bird life. There is one feature which tugs at the old heart strings is the night sky. There is an area in Central Australia where they say is the most wonderful and awe inspiring "Star Show". They say that it's where you see the most stars in the Heavens (it sparkles like a million diamonds) but to us there is only one star system that we hold dear. To us it means Home, a beacon that forever shines over us - "The Southern Cross" It sparkles on a black velvet sky. Some thing with star like components surrounded with black AB beads perhaps. Google us and have a look at what I have mention and then you can see for your self and hopefully it may help you in working out your Aussie design. I hope that I have given you some ideas Thank you my Northern Lights friend and sister I hope to hear from you soon. Chris. (see my dear friend your not the only one who "talks" a lot LOL)
@chrisphillips18939 жыл бұрын
Chris Phillips Just a thought may be use Hematite if you do the star component. It sparkles like stars and with crystals and black beads would indeed look like the night sky. Chris

hi, I want to ask you what is the difference of a delica and a pewter bead, as I said I'm very new and I don't know allot about beads, if your using a delica and I don't have delica can I use a pewter bead instead?
@BronzeponyBeadedJewelry9 жыл бұрын
Hello Margie - A delica is a cylinder shaped bead made by Miyuki Company. I used them because they fit together well for this ring. I'm not sure what you mean by a pewter bead. Pewter is a color of bead - for example: Pewter lined or pewter colored. Take a look at my video on seed beads which will give you some information on delica beads and regular round seed beads. I hope it helps💕💕💕

Just to say I've recently subscribed to your channel and am loving your designs. This ring is definitely my style and I can see its potential for mixing it up with different colours, bead sizes etc. I have quite a few delicas to use from various other peyote and brick stitch projects so this is now saved in my watch list for future reference. Keep up the good work and I look forward to seeing your future projects :)

could you use stretch thread for the part of ring that goes around your finger?

Not with peyote and these small beads😃

@BronzeponyBeadedJewelry7 жыл бұрын
Vella Smith I don't think the thread will fit through a delica and peyote is too tight I think to use stretch. Try it and let me know how it goes 🌻
@jolandaversteeg94646 жыл бұрын
Vella Smith I'm using Nozue Sonoko. It is a little stretchy and bounces back. Made a lot of rings already with it. It's a new kind of thread. I love it. Bought it here in the Netherlands. Saw a video about it by Jill Wiseman. Stephanie, I'm in love with your projects. You make it so easy to do. Thank you so much. Made a lot of it. Lot of hugs from the Netherlands. Jolanda

Good morning.... I have a question for you...When making this ring..You used 3mm Rondelles in one ring, will it work to use 3mm fire polished crystals or 3mm fire polished rounds..which is best??
@BronzeponyBeadedJewelry8 жыл бұрын
You will get the best bead fit with round beads but many have made this ring successfully with the more oval (even though they are called round) firepolished beads 🌻

I never have work with this before and make anything like this. I wanted to try to make this ring . So You don't recommend me to buy Czech beads?
@BronzeponyBeadedJewelry8 жыл бұрын
Hi Bobby! Delica beads and Miyuki round seed beads are more uniform than Czech seed beads and will work better for the seed bead portion this ring. You can try the Czech beads and see how it goes. Have fun with this :)

I love this ring and have made so many of them; unfortunately, all the ones that I have wore have fallen apart. The crystals cut through the string. Many different crystals and a few different string (not Kevlar) and all have failed to be durable. I see this video is a few years old, how have your rings held up?
@BronzeponyBeadedJewelry7 жыл бұрын
+Misty Williams The one ring I kept for myself is still fine. It has stretched a bit but is still wearable. I used round beads so cutting the thread was not an issue. Bicones are notorious for cutting thread so avoid them. I’ll be remaking this video so I’ll mention possible issues with sharp edged crystals.
@MsMistyWilliams7 жыл бұрын
Bronzepony Beaded Jewelry Thank you for your response, much appreciated. I use a lot of Czech crystals, maybe Swarovski would be better? Looking forward to the update, all your videos are great.

Hi Stephanie, I love this ring, I made it, just love it, but my ring split right down the middle where my crystal are I used the fire line thread 8 pound, is there a different thread I could use.. so it won't split. Thank you
@BronzeponyBeadedJewelry8 жыл бұрын
Hi Juanita😃 You could try Wildfire beading thread. It doesn't split as easily as Fireline. Also, do your 3mm beads have sharp edges? Some crystals are very sharp around the edges and will cut any thread. The Hematite beads are very smooth around the edges as are Swarovski round crystals.
