I have been sick with hm for 13 yrs and just got diagnosed for 2 yrs ago. has I get older it has gotten worse, I was wondering what infusion shots have you been receiving at the emergency room, and in the videos? I'm from Cleveland Ohio and my neurologist know very little about this disease and I had suffered for a long time. I currently take seizure meds to help, but I'm still learning all I can about this. I was the one who told my Drs that I had this, for years no one believed I was really sick till I had a horrible attack. if you could share. what are some of the medications that have help you or treatments you have tried that might be helpful. I have recently learned that ppl with hm don't breath out all their carbon dioxide and it causes our attacks along with genetics. I have the shm type. my son has bad asthma just like I did and I'm worried he might suffer when he gets older., that's why I'm learning everything I can and. I am currently in nursing school. thanks for sharing your journey. Hope you are feeling better. Laura.

Laura Leszyeski So sorry I'm just now seeing this! I hope you will catch my reply still! As far as medications go Benadryl (in crazy high doses) has been the most helpful. I know that's weird. I get that in all my infusions along with having it as an IM shot at home. Unfortunately I am on a long list of other medications. I get a 4 gram drip of Magnesium during my infusions this week. Mag is such a huge migraine factor. I too am on a couple seizure meds, I do have seizures with mine. Baclofen(sp?) and Valium have been helpful as well. Marinol (sp again?) has been crazy helpful too. I'll let you look up what that is haha. Feel free to email me hadleybartlett@gmail.com to chat, or check out my blog morethanamigraine.com where I've shared my whole ride as it has happened. Good luck!!
