I'm trying to recover from internal/external stapled hemmorhoidectomy AND a dentate line polyp removal AND skin tag removal (post op day 7) right now. Your videos are literally keeping me sane as things are so intensely painful right now. This video you just posted couldn't be more perfectly timed and relevant to my situation. Also, I ordered my pranicura a few days ago. Keep the videos coming!

Hi, I could be undergoing the hemorrhoidopexy/ stapling procedure and I really don't know what to expect as there's not much on the procedure. What was it like for you? Was there a lot of pain and when did you start noticing some improvement?
@scarpru Жыл бұрын
@Stan E I was a month out before I started seeing improvement. If you have the ability in your state I STRONGLY recommend getting a cannabis card. Mine cost $300 and was worth every penny. The opioids at the beginning are necessary but unfortunately they halt your GI tract. Also, the ridiculous amount of ibuprofen I was taking tore up my stomach so bad. That's where the cannabis was SO helpful. I was able to get off the ibuprofen and the opioids at 1mo and my stomach started healing and my bowels started moving properly. This is gross, but the ONLY way I could "go" was laying down in a hot bath. 🔥 I've had two kids and I'd take childbirth ANY DAY over this. I'm 6 weeks out now. I'd say I'm somewhere between 90 and 95%. My stomach is still off. You MUST get a donut or tailbone pillow. I have the tailbone one and it's a lifesaver. I still can't sit in a chair upright for any length of time without getting uncomfortable but with the pillow, I can drive or sit anywhere without a problem. I have such sympathy for anyone going through this. It's difficult but it's so nice having an almost normal booty-hole again. I hope I can soon say, "It was worth it." Not quite healed completely yet but I've made it through the worst part.

You are awesome again doctors do not seem to care after you go through this intense surgery. They basically are like you should be good in a week and that is not true I am on day 11 I have a stitch hanging out and I’m still in some discomfort but I believe and have faith that it will get better. Again I wish all doctors had the compassion that you do about this serious matter. Thank you for helping me through this your videos have truly made me feel better through this scary time.

I'm a veteran, and the VA sent me to a civilian Dr for a hemmroidectomy. I had my surgery in wasilla Ak. It's been the worst. Care after surgery is non-existent. With the opioid epidemic, it's almost impossible to get pain meds. I've heard from my surgeon once only after going to ER for pain medication. Hope they did a good job because it doesn't look like post op appointment is going to happen.

Is this surgery the ‘normal’ procedure in the US for haemorrhoids? In the UK I had HAL-RAR, which is just the ligation and tie back of the vessels. The haemorrhoids then just shrink away. Since nothing is being cut, recovery is a lot quicker and can be painless with medication, however I had some discomfort for about 5 days. It’s now more than year after the procedure and it’s still like I’ve never had haemorrhoids., which feels amazing considering I had symptoms for about ten years, trying all sorts of medication. I used to have large thromboses internal haemorrhoids which would protrude after each bowel movement.
