This is actually very important to support your patients keeping them informed thru the post-op. Last few I have had nurses told whoever was picking me up just take him to ER if anything as I was fainting at discharge and don’t remember anything under high doses of hydromorphone. Vancouver BC. It is so called “free” healthcare, where it isn’t free and least what many involved care is your health.

I flew down from Northern Cali to see this doctor. He was absolutely GREAT. I honestly think that if he doesn't know something about 'this area" it ain't worth knowing. He's knows everything. I can say this after seeing 4 different people at big deal hospitals and clinics in the Bay area. He identified my issue, told me what I needed to do, was actually quite conservative and protective of my well-being...an excellent physician. I plan on flying back in to see if he'll do a procedure [skin tag removal] for me. I absolutely ONLY trust him for this, because he actually gives a damn about my pain and suffering. the outcome, the long lasting result, and has the experience and knowledge that others simply Do.Not.Have. There is none better.

I was ignorant about a lot of things with hemorrhoids. Until I got them managed. Your videos are informative. Thank you. I had banding done first 14 years ago. That wasn’t suffice & I had to then have a hemorrhoidectmy. Soon after. The pain post surgery was so bad for me. In aftercare @ night in the hospital. I almost fainted. I wish I had of. The pain management was woeful in that hospital then. I practically had to bite into a leather belt until my surgeon arrived in the morning to give me pethidine. In recovery @ home I was in tremendous pain and discomfort. For what seemed endless days into weeks. & I have a high pain tolerance. It’s the worst pain I’ve ever experienced. For me it was a horrendous experience. A month ago I was back in hospital to have a skin tag removed. Only to discover when I awoken from my surgeon that I had banding done for hemorroids 😱😂. …..& the skin tag has not been removed 🤫. So I’m going back to have the tag removed & if the internal hemorrhoids are not gone. I’ll need another hemorrhoidectomy. No one is more surprised than me. Or nervous. 😂 I have a good surgeon. & I now realise that hemorrhoidal treatment & surgeries can be tricky. Or @ least that’s how it has been for me.

Little to say I cancelled out of fear that she didn’t care or know what she was doing. I've had 5 bandings that got rid of bleeding and prolapse and 2 sclerotherapy sessions for itching. The second session was injected too deep and gave me kidney stone. Well I still get itching and doctor wants to do hemorrhoidectomy but says my case is not severe maybe grade 1 internal and external. I feel like that's too drastic. I've noticed that when I exercise and eat better no fast food or sweets regularly that my symptoms go away but it returns very easily. I'm tired of dealing with it so I'm going to another doctor to see what he says. What do you think?

Had the hemorrhoidectomy surgery 2 months ago. Very little discomfort for me. I realize everyone is different during recovery but thankfully, it wasn't bad for me. I used Recticare and Calmoseptine plus, took Colace and Miralax twice daily and adhering to a fibrous and soft food diet. Also, drinking lots of water and walking helped as well. In addition to improving peristalsis from walking it also helps with any discomfort.

Great video. I had hemorrhoidectomy done a few years back. Best thing I had done. There was no other way to fix the hemorrhoid. Had a awesome surgeon. Pain was tolerable with meds. Took about 4 weeks off of work for me so I didn't tear anything. Best thing I was told by my surgeon don't lay around or sit to long when you get it done. Worked for me, different for everyone. Like he said ask questions and get a great surgeon if you have to get a hemorrhoidectomy. 👍

He gave me prescription grade lidocaine and 800mg ibuprofen for the pain. took warm showers and bath to help. Not going to lie the first bowel movement was rough, but after that it got better. Just take baby steps each day. It all depends on your pain tolerance. If the pain is worst for you they will prescribe something stronger for you. The big thing is ask questions. I was blessed to have a wonderful surgeon and your videos certainly helped during the recovery process. It's pretty painful, but honestly, becoming anemic from the bleeding and the pain from my thrombosed hemorrhoid was worse, so I'd recommend the surgery for anyone in my position. During my 2-week post-op visit, the surgeon said he found a fissure (was super surprised because he was not expecting it given I didn't flinch during my anal exam the week before my surgery. He recommended waiting until my healing was complete before treating the fissure. Curious if you could speak a bit more about pranicura and how it works? I suffer from kidney stones. Which I needed pain meds for. Which lead to concrete like stool. Then developed hemmorhoids that turned into hemmorhoid tags. From them if I get diarrhea I got anal fissures and of course a tight anal sphincter. I was prescribed a compound cream. The fissure and tight sphincter pain usually goes away after a while and using OTC pain meds. But it comes back. The colorectal doc said the next step is botox injections. So I hope that would help me and does the pranicuria cream help heal fissures and hemmorhoid pain.

Hello. I had hemorrhoidectomy 2 weeks ago, but the doctors left a skin tag (don't know why). Today was the first time I've pooped hard stool, hence there was bleeding. The skin tag had also swollen a bit, and I'm uncomfortable. I was told to just push the skin tag in but nah, it just keeps coming back out. Could daflon work? I was prescribed it. Would it permanently remove the skin tag? I feel like the procedure was incomplete, this skin tag wasn't removed...so what was the point of my hemorrhoidectomy if this is still here😞

I had this issue. I did hemorrhoidectomy december 2023, surgeon said the skin tag will heal and shrink in 3 months because it is a swollen tissue but it didnt, and it became difficult to clean cuz the skin tags are so big, it is blocking the anus, so i returned and they scheduled me for another procedure without surgery for skin tag removal. Surgeon did cauterization of my skin tags today and hoping it will be back to normal :) speak with your surgeon and let him know that there is a skin tag after the hemorrhoidectomy and they should be removing that. Surgeon suggestes cauterization that way no more skin tags will appear after another surgery (if this is done again) and so and so on

Had my hemorrhoidectomy 2 Mos ago. It's painful but tolerable but I'm just wondering why my surgeon did not remove my anal skin tag. And also I had a little discomfort when pooping but the bleeding was totally gone....

For these procedures, is it only localized numbing? Or total anesthesia or sedation?
@RieLin-tk3os
@RieLin-tk3os 7 күн бұрын
According to my experience, i did both but first was hemorrhoidectomy, then skin tags appeared after the procedure then did skin tag cauterization 6 months later. They did anesthesia and sedation for both procedures

IF YOU ARE PRE-OP PLEASE READ FOR YOUR SAKE!! I was scheduled to have this done and I was terrified. I googled like I never googled before and I came across laser hemorrhoidoplasty (LHP). My doctor never told me about this new laser technology as an option because they don't offer it (Cleveland Clinic). I chose a place in Florida and had my surgery on 3/2/23. No pain! No open wound! No risk of nerve damage! It is a minimally invasive procedure so there was next to no recovery time! I told myself I would spread the word if it went well and so here I am. If you are interested and would like to know more I would be happy to help. Feel free to message me.

Hi Family Quality time; Thanks! I'd like to know more, like what is the name of the place you went to get it done? I've never heard anyone say that a hemrrhoidectomy was pain free, so I'm intrigued. Did they give you pain killers? Who was your surgeon?

@Mike DeLucia Hi. I was shocked to learn about this procedure too. I chose IBI Healthcare in Tampa Florida. The procedure lasted about 30mins, I woke up virtually pain free. I went in for a follow up the next morning and then flew home from there. No pain killers, all I was prescribed was preop antibiotics. After arriving home I could feel something was different but I wasn't in pain and after about a week I felt 100% normal. Extremely grateful!

@Mike DeLucia My surgeon was Dr. Soto. She is great. There is 3d rendered videos of this procedure on there website and on KZbin that explain what is done but simply they penatrate the hemorrhoid with a laser then go all the way to the base of the hemorrhoid. Then the laser cauterizes it which permanently cuts off blood flow to the hemorrhoid. That's it.

I added a comment here with my email to see if we could have a conversation about I, if you were open to that, but that must not be acceptable here and they didn't print it. I wish there was a way for us to have a conversation. Either way, I got the phone number and just called them. They weren't in today (Sat). I will call them back on Monday morning.
