I'm going to use hemp hearts in my pesto, instead of chinese pine nuts. I love how buttery hemp hearts are.

Mixing them might be tasty, too. Never thought of making into Pesto - thanks!

As a vegan I'm so happy I'm finally allowed to buy hemp seeds in my country. I eat them every day, few tablespoons, and they are one of the best sources of protein for me. I put them in everything - soups, oatmeal, salads... Pleasant mild taste, easily digestible and full of nutrients. Slightly expensive but so worth it.

Hemp is approved for consumption but the regulators still control everything

@@aidensnacklad4178 A lot of Govt.s around the world are bribed by big corporations to deregulate, i.e. relax existing standards in their industries to increase profits. In this case the hemp policy seemed very OTT. But generally regulations for mega rich conglomerates etc., are on the whole meant to protect the public from slack quality standards, which has led to examples like polluted carcinogenic rivers & mass deaths due to non-fire-retardant building cladding.

Best line in the video: "They [police] are saying they can't control it. Their job is to enforce the law, not control it." Beautifully said.

Phytate was abundant in hemp seed (also when hulled) (phytate 4 g/100 g), and could compromise iron and zinc absorption (phytates/Fe and phytates/Zn molar ratios above 20 and 15, respectively), as well as involve poor phosphorous absorption. Better when fermented with phytase enzym.
