I'm a total convert now Jason, I'm actually looking for reasons to use them now rather than avoid heights!!! Lee

I know what you mean, makes working at higher a more enjoyable part of the job. 👍

My Henchman ladder has almost eradicated my fear of working at height. I should have bought one right from the start. Think of the money I could have earned from jobs I turned down!

I started getting light headed just watching you climb. I am amazed at how sturdy the ladder was. You seemed comfortable. Good review.

Cindy Edwards it’s crazy just how many people seem to hate climbing ladders. Think I may need to start a support group!! 😂👍

Nice set of ladders them! I’m the same, I will climb up ladders and the height doesn’t bother me,,, that movement of about an inch feels like a mile when your up a double extension ladder, that’s the bit I don’t like! Always remember a holiday in Egypt and the hotel maintenance blokes holding a normal ladder up by hand and a bloke balancing like 40ft up changing a light bulb in the foyer! Nutter! Take care, Marc.

Hey Marc, yes as soon as the wobble factor starts then its game over from me. Had a comedy incident trying to paint some upstairs windows years ago when the wind picked up and I literally had to be carried down!!! Awkward!! Lee

Nice view of the Plough, I like the purple beeches in the summer in front of the house on Dicks Lane! Would you say that the 10ft ladder would be sufficient for general garden work?
@Gardenninja6 жыл бұрын
Hi James Crosby yes I believe they would. There used to be a seed merchant many years ago that lived around here hence all the unusual tree specimens. Unless you’re looking at working on very large trees. They do taller ones as well but I’d just bare in mind storage and how often you’re going to want to be so high up for!! Hope that helps. Lee

Do the claw feet bury into the ground? My ladders wobble so much on the grass. I kiss the ground everytime I finish my hedges and I'm still in one piece still 😂
@Gardenninja2 жыл бұрын
They do yes. Or they come with rubber cups for paving to stop them scratching the pavers. Happy gardening. Lee 🥷🌿🤘

Do you think you could've got away with the 8ft Henchman ladders Lee? I'm torn between the 10ft and the 8ft.

Garden Ninja Ltd try them on some uneven ground, they come in to their own! ..... they are expensive, but everything that is good in our industry generally is. My only complaint is that the little hooks/pins that keep the legs at certain heights tend to fall out when moving the ladders around. So be careful.
@JoerivanLith5 жыл бұрын
When using a normal ladder on uneven surfaces i find myself always leaning on one side to prevent tipping over. Well as a gardener you develop some acrobatic skills over the years 😅
@Gardenninja5 жыл бұрын
You do develop some fine tight rope legs on normal ladders it’s true!! These ones are much better though. More time for pruning rather than wobbling around. 😊

Wearing a helmet and sturdy steele capped boots are all part of your PPE. You dont set a good example. Also,you failed to mention that the extendable legs can add considerable height to the unit. Disappointing review in all.
@godsinbox4 жыл бұрын
you dont need to comply with WORKPLACE laws when you are at your OWN house, ya goof! He is wearing required PPE (gloves and closed in sturdy shoes) and what is a helmet going to do? a helmet is to cover insurance liability of things falling from ABOVE you, On top of A 12ft ladder, Russian space probes perhaps? haha clearly you can see his trees are not that tall! I'll give you a tip, you go to a hospital if something large falls on your head (and they treat you) regardless of whether you wear a helmet (watch some crane disaster YT vids and see how useful a helmet is). Disappointing comment in all.
@stevenbell40534 жыл бұрын
@@godsinbox thanks for your comment. When I go cycling I wear a helmet,..but I dont expect to have a accident with a tree!!! Also, you are implying that you have less chance of having an accident at home than at work!! Quite the opposite I'm afraid.. Trained groundsman( 15 years)
@godsinbox4 жыл бұрын
@@stevenbell4053 SO, you always wear a chinstrap bike helmet with foam padding for fall protection WHEN AT WORK!!!!!!! buwhahahahahaha, classic comment all that. but seriously, a standard construction helmet is rated for 5kg (equivalent to your head) fall arresting from ABOVE at 1m. If you do expect not to snap you neck in a fall (4m+), where the mass is INSIDE the helmet (ie your head) you need to look into something that actually is safe and not something just on a form for insurance liability purposes (do you get when I am saying now?). people die from the fall, not the incident on top of the ladder.

Hi Edwin. I’m curious as to what makes a person like you make such comments on a gardening channel? Do you travel through KZbin for the most banal clips to then make homophobic comments on? Or am I somehow one of the special few? I’m really genuinely inquisitive to your motivations. Either way. Happy Gardening.
