Why would you need +24dB of gain? It's crazy amount, you will distort the signal immediately. +15dB also sounds unreasonably high.

I prefer +40dB, the more you have the best sound you have. Ok I joke, I know the exit 😜

I've seen enough sound systems break under the pressure of a +12 isolator being used too enthousiastically to know that any more would be a bad idea.

+60dB minimum I think.... if your ears aren’t ringing, were you even at the party?

Over 9000 is the best amount. Unless there is a gain control on each channel, in which case around +8 should do the job imho.
