The stallions shut stay the hole summer togheter on a pasture in the mountains. This is the way to put them together on a plain pasture, that the can figth for the place in the group. The same fight in the mountains is to dangerous. About this way they find her position in the group very fast and without bad accidants. I hope i can gif you a good answer. Sorry, my english is not the best!

Is this true? I mean then it's a good thing to do such thing before they will e freed in the mountains where indeed they can hurt each other quite badly

Yes, its true. If they hash it out here in a paddock, with many professional handlers and vets on hand, its a lot safer than if they do so alone out in the mountains where one could break his legs

As far as I now, the stallions are put together to fight for dominance, under veterinarian supervision. Before they are let loose on big pastures in the Austrian Alps, where they spent the summer together, instead of living alone in stalls. Because it is a lot safer for them to fight on flat ground, than in the mountains, where they can e.g. fall on or over rocks. And after they can get veterinary care, before they are sat loose. I'm not sure, but I think the horses shoes are taken off beforehand (I hope they are). I'm sorry if there are any mistakes, English isn't my first language.

They are put together to prevent arguments on the mountain where they are going to be the whole summer. It's natural and the best method to solve problems from horse to horse!

Am shoensten sind die Blauschimmel, es ist zu bewundern wie die roesser sich auf die hinteren fuesse stellen, viel besser wie I'm zirkus. Es muss ja einer der Leithengst werden, so ist es in tierischen Welt.

This should never be entertainment. In the wild, these horses would do less damage to each other. In these confined corrals, the intensity of the fight for dominance is increased simply by the forced proximity. Humans are an inferior species.

Ignorant. There wasn't even a "fight" or have you **never** seen stallions really fighting for dominance? This is merely the boys pushing their weight around & hardly worthy of the word "fight". It is actually very "civil" compared to how wild stallions will & do fight. As for causing less damage to one another - as you don't know anything about horses by your comment anyways - I'll just say in these pens an injured stallion can be tended to while in the wild he could very well die.

Mein leben wir haben 1 Stuten Wiese und eine Wllach Weide also da geht das nicht so ab evt liegt es daran das ihr einfach nur komplett durchgeknallt seit und dann hengste aufeinander hetzt ich kenn nen stall da standen alle Pferde zusammen außer die kleinen ponys und dort war immer ruhe da is nie jemand gestiegen oder hat den andren angegrunzt

Mädchen. Herdentiere ermitteln ihren Rang nunmal mit solchen Kämpfen. Das ist ein natürliches Verhalten, das du auch bei Wildpferden entdecken kannst. Da wird kein Pferd auf das Andere gehetzt, das machen die von sich aus. Mal abgesehen davon sieht das alles viel schlimmer aus als es eigentlich ist.

Vanessa Koop die hengste kommen alle danach zusammen auf die koppel, man stellt sie nur vorher schon zusammen damit sie die rangordnung aushandeln können, also macht man daraus eine veranstaltung weil man sowas ja nich jeden tag sieht 😉 also keine sorge hinter dem ganzen steht schon ein zweck und is nich nur zur Belustigung der leute gedacht

Wo hast du dein Wissen her? PETA vielleicht? Die Hengste kämpfen nicht bis aufs Blut. Aber wenn man nur Boxenpferde kennt, kann man sich mit der natürlichen Verhaltensweise von Pferden halt nicht auskennen...

Nein eigentlich nicht! Die Pferde stehen den ganzen Sommer auf der Alm und dort wären die Rangkämpfe zu gefährlich! Sie wollen damit eine natürliche Lösung der Probleme bezwecken. Auf der Alm ist Ruhe und Frieden und alle Pferde kommen heil zurück da die Ränge vom Auftrieb an geklärt sind!
