Ok the breaking was funny, sure, but part of the reason they broke was because the premise was so ridiculous it was funny. The disguised chicken gag at the end was enough to make Ryan crack, so it's not like it wasn't funny on it's own and necessarily needed saving. Shit, Kenan's 10 second performance alone made it hilarious.

To anyone wondering why they thought this was funny, the majority of what causes you to laugh is shock and confusion, and something this weird certainly has shock value. And the constant breaking showed that the actors knew it was stupid which made it funnier.
