50 yards, off a toolbox, with factory sights? WOW! That's a sweet shooting little rifle.

I just got one with the octagonal barrel and love it. My eyes are closer to 70 than 60… might be a scope in my future. Nice review.

Awesome! Let me know which scope you get and how you like it.

I have the same rifle. I put hiviz fiber optics on mine and it made a big difference. I ordered them from Henry so the fit perfectly. I also put the large loop lever on mine. It's a real fun rifle to shoot.

Im not a fan of the big loop but I will have to check out that sight you got.

New subscriber here. Just took my Henry .22 mag out to sight in over this past weekend, and I fell in love just like you did. It's the third Henry in my collection, and I'm already rolling pennies for my 4th!! LOL Also, love that old F-150!! How about a review of that in a future video? :-)

Great review! Just so you know there is a little set flat head screw that you can loosen and that front sight will drift very easy.

I scoped my Henry with a 3 x 9 power scope which is great for hundred yard plus shots. I had to order a special base plate for it that was specifically made tor this rifle. Works great! Nice and light and easy to carry with sling. I added a stud swivel to the rear stock and special swivel attached to the front ammo tube.

I bet she is nice scoped.

Love the red truck. Keeping it classy.

Thanks. I sometimes forget that for some people that’s a classic but for me it’s just a truck.

I think the receiver is a shroud screwed from both sides, with the action built into one side only. It would be interesting if you put a scope on it, to remove and replace it and see if the zero changes.
@arkansasoutdoorschannel186710 ай бұрын
I bet zero would change a little since there are no rail locks like on a 1913 rail system.

a henry 22mag lever action rifle is about the best all-around, all-u.s. state- & all canadian-province-tolerated, survival, shtf, just in case, fun, one-and-done, rifle there is. if you are traveling thru anti-gun areas, this henry, combined with a hunting license, being rimfire, tube-fed, without the “assault” rifle appearance, is good to go. 22wmr ammo is still sold at walmart, can stop a man-sized target, can fit a ruger or heritage single action revolver, weighs little to carry. excellent video of an excellent rifle. im kinda kicking myself for choosing 22lr over 22wmr for my henry purchase a few yrs ago. i guess the 22lr’s advantages are firing 22quiets or shorts, so less report, and cheaper ammo. i load it with cci 22lr stingers for protection. i figure that a swarm of stingers into center mass will dissuade a bad guy.
