marvellous bside of "Making love with my wife", first single issued by this strange english dandy.
When i bought it back then, i was astounding by the kinda of Eno-like feeling of the melody, strange sounding and the beautiful ending arrangements... some underrated gem i keep on playing on and on :)

I bought an album in the early 80’s call IRS Greatest Hits Vol 2 when living in Hollywood. The whole album was brilliant but Henry Badowski stood out from the rest. I still have the album. Brings back some great memories. When I got married, I had the DJ play “Baby, sign here with me” when my bride and I had a first dance as man and wife. We’re divorce now. Go figure

It's "The True Wheel" on Taking Tiger Mountain. He lifts the verse melody a little bit. This Badowski album needs to be reissued. Every song is good.

Not really a rip off by the damned the captain was involved in some form or other i guess they just revamped it with different lyrics. ..the sleeve notes in the picture here don't mention captain but on the 10 inch 4 track red vynal ep by King which captain was in with these guys he is credited with involvement

@@stephenmccoy898 According to an interview with Roman Jugg on The Damned's message board, Henry and Roman collaborated and Roman came up with the initial song structure; Henry, the lyrics. Roman was the sole author of, 'Edward the Bear,' responsible for the reconstruction and new lyrics. The song, which was released on the 'Phantasmagoria' lp and a couple of singles. As far as The Captains contribution to Phantasmagoria was a co-writing credit on said tune. However, he was long out of the Damned at that point.

Correction: Captain Sensible's only contribution was an eight bar lead guitar solo to, 'Is it a Dream ,' prior to the recording of that song which earned him a co-writing credit, not for 'Edward the bear'. That was all Roman Jugg and as was with ,' Edward The Bear.' '
