If you give Henry a few instruments and a loop station, he can replace an entire orchestra. 😂 Our one-man show Henry is amazing!

u r right.Henry is so underrated as per his so prof. performance and be a truely musician. He is 120% enthusiastic devoted to his music n stage. But nowadays, the high viewing rate is for those "packaging" to be a "star" and the fact is who is not even called a "singer" or "artise".

Wow, this makes me wish I'd kept up in the piano. What a skilled young man! I think Adam Lambert may have done this song too, with more of a rock edge. But this is excellent!💙

I was amazed when I heard his “Believer” cover for the first time, not this live version, but another cool version which he performed in a steel factory

Whether it's a key ring, drilling machine or car door, Henry turns everything into an instrument. He is very creative and talented. I enjoy watching his performances a lot. I would love to see him live one day. Henry is the full package and should indeed be much more famous. His cover of "Youngblood" by 5 Seconds of Summer is another good one: kzbin.info/www/bejne/n6LdqYWqZaZ1a9U He is also an actor and played e.g. in the movie "Double World". There is a video that shows scenes from the movie with Henry singing the song "Don't Leave Me" from the soundtrack and playing the piano: kzbin.info/www/bejne/gJfIgahsaLSafck

What you just saw with Henry's cover of "Believer" by Imagine Dragons was a performance he created using a Loop Station. So he records the different sounds and instruments individually like you saw him doing at the beginning of the performance, and then when he plays them all together he is able to create the song. Henry is really famous for his Loop Station performances. His first loop station remix was of the Korean song "Bounce" by Cho Yong-Pil in 2014, kzbin.info/www/bejne/gqWTiXiQrsqXkK8, and ever since then he has dozens of original songs, remixed/mashups and covers of songs he has created using a loop station. This performance was specifically created for the concert in Melbourne, Australia, but he has actually performed this song many times now, and each time he does it's a new experience because he never does anything the same way twice. He owns his own independent music production company, so he does all the recording, remastering, rearranging and production, etc. himself. Everything you see and hear is 100% Henry. Normally with smaller scale performances you will see Henry recording all the sounds with the loop station in real time. However, for concert and TV performances, he often has someone sitting off stage pushing the buttons to record the sounds he is playing -- if you notice, when he was about to hit the metal barrel, he pointed to someone off stage to signal them to be ready to push the button -- or he pre-records the backing track and just demonstrates what he did to make the sounds at the beginning of the performance. If you like this performance, you should watch another version of "Believer" that Henry did a couple of years ago for the Korean reality show Fly to the Dance. Henry was the music producer and a dancer on the program where famous Kpop choreographers and dancers spent a couple of weeks in the U.S. busking with dance performances on the streets of New York and L.A. There are two "Believer" performances on the show, one in New York and one in L.A. If you want to see another aspect of Henry's production genius, check out some of the episodes of Fly To The Dance on 100DNAcers YT channel. Henry is a member of the legendary Kpop boy group Super Junior-M, as well as a solo artist. He is considered a music genius. He was classically trained in violin and piano since the age of 6, and he had plans to go to college to study classical music. But the year he graduated high school, he auditioned for the largest and most well-known Korean entertainment company, SM Entertainment, when they held auditions in Canada, and he impressed them so much with his violin dance routine that they signed him right away. (After joining SM and debuting with SJM, he did end up going to college. He got a full-ride scholarship to Berklee School of Music in New York and he graduated with a Bachelor's degree in music.) He was one of the Kpop industry's very first foreign/non-Korean artists, and he only trained for about a year before he debuted in Super Junior -- and that was only because he needed to learn Korean and become more proficient in Mandarin. He debuted in Korea in 2008, so he has been a famous musician, artist, entertainer, producer, actor, model, etc. for more than 15 years now. He is currently 34, and he is the youngest member of Super Junior -- he debuted when he was 18 years old. And, not only is he a musician, but he is also known as a really good dancer and for the fact that he can dance while singing and playing the violin all at the same time. He is one of the first and only musicians to combine choreography while playing the violin. In high school he was the leader of the dance club and the orchestra, which is where he got the idea to combine his two passions. Henry's main dance style is popping and locking. As a member of Super Junior, Henry started out as one of the group's main dancers. He is Chinese/Taiwanese-Canadian -- his dad is from Hong Kong, his mom is from Taiwan and he was born and raised in Canada -- and he can play almost any instrument. He really is a music genius. Henry speaks 4 languages fluently -- English, Korean, Mandarin and Cantonese -- and he speaks numerous other languages moderately well. He works really hard to speak to fans in their native language, so he has learned a lot of languages over the past 15 years. Super Junior-M was the Mandarin Chinese sub-unit of Super Junior, which created songs in Mandarin and promoted in China. This group was one of the very first Kpop groups, made up of both Korean and Chinese members, to become famous in China. Which is one reason why Henry is such a big deal internationally because he is a world-famous artist who has learned to meld many different cultures together, endearing himself to people around the world. And to see where Henry really made his performance of "Believer" famous, you have to see the version he did on the Korean TV show Begin Again. His Melbourne stage doesn't even come close to what he can really do. Begin Again, featured singer/songwriter Kpop artists who teamed up to form a group and they spent several weeks busking all over Europe and Korea. In Begin Again, not only does the group sing the songs live, but several of the members are also musicians so they perform the music live as well. In Begin Again you will see Suhyun from the Kpop duo AKMU perform with Henry and several other famous Kpop solo musicians and singers as part of a group called The Family Band. This group was so popular that The Family Band actually did 2 seasons of the show. And the best part, in the first 2 seasons they busked on the streets all across Ireland, England, Switzerland, Portugal and Hungary, etc., so the people they performed for don't speak Korean, but they always fall in love with The Family Band's performances. And, as you just saw, Suhyun and Henry also participated in a third season in 2021 when they traveled around Korea to perform with some of their Family Band members, as well as other well-known Kpop musicians and artists. This show showcases real life busking performances with some of the best musicians and singers in the Kpop industry. Check out Henry's performances of "Believer," "Youngblood," "Dance Monkey + Attention," "Faded," etc. You can find all the clips on the BeginAgain KZbin Channel: kzbin.info/door/8WoHUeN-eLynnLKGkwajYQsearch?query=Henry. You should also hear some of his original songs. Look up a performance that he did of his original songs "Moonlight" and "It's You" in China as part of a special collaboration with Bose and Porsche. You can find the video on Henry Lau's official KZbin channel, kzbin.info/www/bejne/eavQpqifrrSJsMk. You will really get to see how he can literally turn anything into music. And, to see what type of music and entertainment master Henry really is, you should watch a clip from a special project/ variety show that Henry did in collaboration with SM Entertainment and Mystic Entertainment in 2017, called "The Snowball Project," kzbin.info/www/bejne/rHLccndoh5Z0psU. Henry was challenged to play multiple instruments from around the world, which he had never seen or played before. And, as you will see, within minutes Henry was able to pick up the instrument, figure out how to play the notes and play a song on the spot. He can also play any song or tune on almost any instrument after hearing only a few notes. Henry debuted as a solo artist in 2013 while under SM Entertainment and, even before becoming a solo artist, he gained a reputation for being an accomplished music producer. He has written, composed and produced all his own solo work, as well as numerous songs for other artists, including several Super Junior songs, songs for other Kpop groups and artists, such as EXO's "The Eve," and Korean- and Chinese-drama and movie OSTs, etc. Some of his most recent original songs are "Always Been You," which he just released at the beginning of September, or "Summer Sky," "Real Love Still Exists" and "Moonlight, "which came out last year. Also listen to his song "Radio" from his album Journey, which came out in 2020. He has a Korean version, Mandarin version and an English version of "Radio." But what you really need to see is a live performance of "Radio." Not only is he a musician, but he is a true performer, so all his live performances are designed to engage and entertain the audiences, and he never performs a song the same way twice. To hear the song in Mandarin, check out this performance from a Chinese award show, kzbin.info/www/bejne/gZPHc6uGd9KLga8; or to hear Henry's one-man-band solo version live on a Korean music program check out, kzbin.info/www/bejne/faXSZYauqrOlrbs; or to see a 4 cello and rock guitar version check out, kzbin.info/www/bejne/pYrPan6BgtZ6kMU; or for an acoustic version check out, kzbin.info/www/bejne/e5yai2uVl9yhqs0. (Like I said, no two performances are ever the same.) Now as an independent solo artist -- after leaving SM in 2018 -- Henry has launched his own KZbin Channel and he releases regular content and has become one of the most popular Kpop artists on KZbin. To really see his musical genius, watch the KZbin show that Henry produces called Henry Together where he invites child prodigy musicians and dancers on his show to showcase their talent and to mentor them. On his show he spotlights amazing young artists while creating really cool collaboration performances on the spot with these children. He is a big inspiration to many people and lots of artists and musicians look up to him.
