Not a huge fan of this one, but I do have to say, I love that they did 1 box. This whole 2 boxes thing with how big boxes are getting is a killer. Especially when you try to hide them from your wife. 🤣

Cavill definitely the better Superman although I didn't like the suite design for the movie. One reason I don't want to collect statues of actors portraying a comic character is because of the likeness issue. Any company that tries to take on the project of making a portrait look as close as possible to the actor has alot riding on the judging of the public. In order for the sale to be successful depends mostly upon the portrait being spot on. That's probably why it took them 2 years to complete. I don't mind mixed media and they probably gave the sculpt a fabric suit to make it easier to connect the Cape. I like what they did with the base. It goes well with the Kryptonian theme. For a 1/3 sculpt of the movie version of Superman I think they did an amazing job. Very impressive piece and for a 1/3 scale the price is not bad. Congratulations on getting it.

As we look back on cavils Superman legacy no one can avoid how dirty he was done by WB. And that will always be a very sad thing which contributed to the Superman Curse

Not sure but I think the body is actually chrome. That is what a guy told me about the life-size bust but I can't remember, I think the bust may have been queen studios.

Hey Mr X, the chrome under musculature with mesh over top is how henry's suit was made. It makes it way more accurate and I don't think you could do it right otherwise because it's a very specific look. The JND is sculpted but the suit area is too defined in musculature and the colours aren't right at all on either because they wanted to replicate it.

As much as I prefer a black suit Superman, this one doesn't quite hit for me. But would probably look good in a DCEU display with other JL characters.

Can't decide between this or JND from just the pics. I need a black suit Sups to pair with my Darksied too, but just not sure which I will go with. JND usually looks better in person and I already have WW coming in so might lean that way. Hopefully they do a Bats to complete the set. I may end up selling my P1 1/2 scale set if they do, but those are so good might have to keep both.

It actually took so long because they let go of the guy who made the suits for the statue. The same guy made both 1/2 scale suits and the 1/3 red/blue suit but then P1 let him go. That happened not too long after the PO started.

Henry Cavill is awesome. Not really a fan of the DCEU at all though or JL either cut. I don't like the laser eyes portrait... it doesn't look right to me. Kind of looks like zombie Superman or pink eye cataracts Superman. I mean if you're going to do laser eyes, they come from the pupil/iris so that should be red. PCS Ultimate Akuma by comparison although that is light up. Also not a fan of the shininess. Kind of reminds me of Alex Ross learning how to do reflections and then overdoing it on everything. Or Symbiote Superman. I do think statues fall in value as time passes for some non-classic movies, but Henry was good casting.

The JND has a better pose but in pics I prefer the P1 suit and likeness. JND suit looks like its coming from a comic not a live action movie and I don’t see the likeness.

@@TheXtremeChannelMrX There's regular version. P1's normal head is resculped, that's good, but the heat vision head is using the old sculpt which is bad. Queen's heat vision headsculpt is way better than P1's and the normal head is slightly better but we should see the final production piece to discuss next year
