Saw your video. I have 2 Henry 22lr rifles. The Classic and the Frontier. Both rifles eat any and all ammo and are stupid accurate out to 200 yards. Call Henry customer service, they will have you send it back, solve the problem, and you will have a great rifle with no problems. They are super nice and helpful.

My Golden Boy eats any brand I give it. However, all 22 ammo is not created equal. It becomes a well known issue when you start shooting semi-auto rifles, and the jambs start to happen. You must use good ammo in semi autos, so it makes sense the same would be true for lever actions. I also have noticed the differences with 12 gauge shells as well. The shape and style of primers makes a huge difference. I get a 1/5 misfire using Federal shells, ( depending on the gun I use).

Same problem with 17 hmr. Should have got the Savage bolt.

I shoot 24 inch frontier had the same problems so took a round fine stone to riser where the bullet travels through just touch the edges take the burrs off and then it will cycle fine.

I went and got me a classic henry yesterday. I have the same exact problem!... Poor machine work and would fire the round but would not eject an empty casing. I cycled 100 rounds and id say 80 of those would not eject! I was of course using the federal ammo. Ill get something else tomorrow and will give you an update. Thank god i found ur video, I was about to send it to the bottom of the lake with all my other firearms due to a very unfortunate boating accident last year...

@sir.mr.georgewalter3144 well im glad I could help ! Hang in there ! All is not lost if it's worth the effort to you. I know some schools of thought would say "just send it back" while on the other hand like me " see if you can make it work , it could be fun! " lol 😆 yes try different ammo and cleaning and working the actions. And see if you can narrow the problem down. Thanks for watching and leaving a comment !

@@fakeitormakeit83 well, i had some winchester ammo and decided to try it out... Was not a good experience and now im in a hell of a pickle... I took my time and gave it a good cleaning and followed up with plenty of lube. Nice, smooth action without any ammo. The winchesters seemed to be a tighter fit than the federals tho. Lil more resistance when cycling and extremely difficult to get the spent shell casing out. Would not even eject one time. So, after 5 rounds i decided to just try a hard, real quick cycle but ended up leaving the spent round in the barrel and sendin the next round up into the top of the chamber and bending the round into da mb near a U shape and now it wont push back down into the feed tube and doesnt have enough room to come up and out with the shell casing still stuck in the barrel. Im extremely frustrated and disappointed with this rifle. I looked up the henry warranty on it and it says a lifetime warranty but dont know if they fix it kause im not the original purchaser....

@@sir.mr.georgewalter3144 maaan that sucks! I wonder if it's a matter of the actual chamber being out of spec . Or maybe something with the extractor itself not getting a goof purchase on the case rim to pull it out.
@sir.mr.georgewalter31444 ай бұрын
@@fakeitormakeit83 what puzzles me the most is the fact that I can fill the tube with any .22lr brand and cycle every round without a problem as long as the round hasnt been fired. Everytime I pull the trigger tho, the ejector leaves marks where u can tell that it is trying to catch and hold on but that shell casing is tight, almost stuck in the barrel. Unfired rounds tho, smooth easy cycle... Ive never had a rifle give me such a hard time as this one has and ive only had it 2 days...

@sir.mr.georgewalter3144 I am no gunsmith at all just to be clear lol. But to me it seems like there isn't enough tolerance in the chamber to accommodate the dimension of a fired casing . Beings the casing swells after firing . But then again if the extractor isn't strong enough to grip the lip of the shell after it's been fired it could be an extractor issue .

Sounds like a typical Henry . I got one brand new and the bolt would not go into battery without me pushing the back of it to close it. Got it fixed and sold it at a loss. Won’t touch another Henry again.

I've got a brand new Henry Big Boy 45-70 that won't feed rounds period. I think the machined parts are poorly machined and fitted. They are just cheap rifles. Cowboy competition shooters don't use Henry rifles.

Yeah ive never owned a henry but ive definitely heard some less than awesome things about some of there rifles . Btw thanks for watching and taki g time to comment ! 🙌

Henry is not your best choice. They spit them out like rabbits multiplying. They dominate the PDW magazine when it comes to lever guns. Anyone just looking at a Henry and then taking a glance at a Marlin lever gun should immediately arrive at the conclusion that Henry lever guns look cheaply made!! I do not know what attracts people to Henry lever guns. They look cheap and they are cheap, but not price wise!! Just buy an O’ Henry candy bar but forget Henry lever guns!!

🤣🤣🤣 you won the comment section ! Yeah ive never owned a henry , this is really the first one ive ever handled. When my buddy said this one was having issues i was suprised . Then i started looking into it and found henry has tons of boogers in there nose so to speak lol. Hey thanks for watching and taking time to leave a comment!
