Most G.I Joe fans most likely hate it because of how much it differs from the original comic books and the fact that Snake Eyes is Asian now. General audience on the other hand who don't care about the G.I Joe franchise/brand seem to be liking it, myself included. I'm not saying it was perfect, not at all. It had its flaws but overall it was a good movie.

As for thinking with one's pocket, the Snake Eyes movie was critically panned and flopped, so casting Henry Golding didn't work out. It rolled "snake eyes," pardon the pun.

I have been a Trekkie since the age of 10. But the Khan controversy, I am not an enthusiastic Trekkie anymore. Ray Park is a great martial artist but he is Scottish but without a mask, which the new movie is all about. I would rather see Harry Golding. It’s a personal preference. Henry Golding is better suited to play Storm Shadow. Second, you're forgetting the reason why Khan was whitewashed in Star Trek: Into Darkness. It was the same reason that The Ancient One was played by Tilda Swinton in Doctor Strange. The filmmakers were actually trying to avoid doing something politically incorrect, and in doing so, did something politically incorrect. JJ Abrams wanted to use the Khan character, but he was afraid of a backlash to a middle eastern character being portrayed as a villain, so he cast Benedict Cumberbatch, a white English actor, to avoid being accused of Xenophobia. Tilda Swinton was cast as The Ancient One because Marvel wanted to avoid accusations of "Orientalism" or "cultural appropriation" by having a white man like Stephen Strange learn mysticism from an Asian man. The woke PC police think it's the Mr. Miyagi stereotype, which is utterly stupid. See, this is why political correctness is insane and ridiculous. Making Snake Eyes Asian is another example of political correctness, as if it's now supposed to be inappropriate for white people to know martial arts, even though there are more white people in MMA, kickboxing, and Olympic martial arts than there are Asians. The fact remains that as long as Snake Eyes is white in the comics, he should only be played by a white man. Race-switching characters is never acceptable no matter what.
