Thank you for ANOTHER FANTASTIC INTERVIEW!!! The GREAT Henry Johnson!!! I'm a bassist but I listen to guitarists more than I do other bassists! I've been a big fan of Henry since I heard him play with the late great jazz legend Ramsey Lewis!!! Henry exhibits great knowledge, chops, tone, and technique, and, more importantly, soul! love Henry's comment about scales being the ABCs; they're not the words!!! Awesome analogy!!! I agree with Henry about metronomes and bassist Jeff Berlin agrees! I've never practiced with a metronome and never will!!! "How to get me out of this instrument" is BRILLIANT!!! 🤯🤯🤯

What a sweet guy Henry is! I went through one of his Truefire courses and got a lot from it. So he has more?....OK I just went and got them all! Thank you Bob for having such a great player and communicator on Jazz Guitar Today!

I'd been trying to figure out Jazz guitar for years - taking various lessons and reading books and articles. A few years ago, Henry Johnson's Truefire course simplified things and made a lot of that instruction make sense. That course was my jazz "glue" that helped me understand things. Still learning and not a great player by any means but that course got me going in the right direction.

Great interview - thanks! Would be great if you could get Philip Catherine on your show. He’s a hugely respected jazz guitarist - especially in Europe … and his English is quite good ;-)
