His co-author of ‘Genesis’, and former chief research and strategy officer at Microsoft, Craig Mundie tells Hugo Rifkind using AI correctly could “change the course of human evolution”.

The complete loss of trust would be the beginning of our ultimate downfall and therefore this man-made invention needs to be controlled if indeed it lacks consciousness. Perhaps religious leaders are to work together to start building foundations of globally shared ethics, values and virtues beyond their own, at the earlier opportunity. These convos happen much and it’s the same overblown estimates. No one considers emotional intelligence, creativity, or genealogy awareness. Yes, AI can accomplish so much, but it’s revealing to how little these guys think of humans. It’s easy to act like humans will be outpaced by a machine that doesn’t exist, when you don’t even understand people. Intelligence isn’t all in the mind, it’s it just data.
