Henry is one of my favorite entertainers. Been following him for a couple years now. What you may not know about Henry is how he mentors young prodigies. Not only does he relate to them he helps them to not be so serious all the time and to enjoy music. These young kids all call him Uncle Henry and you can tell by the smiles on their faces that they all love and respect him.

By the way, those are traditional Korean drums (I forgot what they're called). He secretly learned to play them for this surprise performance (without the cast knowing). However, he also knows how to play regular drum set too. Just so you know, the musicians are surrounded by a bunch of cars in this video because it was filmed around the time when COVID-19 first hit the globe and social distance measures were put in place. They had the audience watch the performances in their cars kind of like drive-in movie theaters.

This performance of "Youngblood" -- which is a song originally by the Australian pop-rock band 5 Seconds of Summer -- was created by Henry specifically for the Korean TV show Begin Again. However, he has performed this song several times since then and each performance is very unique. No two performances of his are ever the same. The guitar player is a famous solo singer and musician named JukeJae, he is known for his impressive guitar playing, and he is a friend of Henry, as well as a cast member on Begin Again. Begin Again features singer/songwriter Kpop artists who teamed up to form a group and they spent several weeks busking all over Korea. In Begin Again, not only does the group sing the songs live, but several of the members are also musicians so they perform the music live as well. In Begin Again you will see Suhyun from AKMU (a member of another famous Kpop duo group) perform with Henry and several other famous Kpop solo musicians and singers as part of a group called The Family Band. This group was so popular that The Family Band actually did 2 seasons of the show. And the best part is in the first two seasons they busked on the streets all across Ireland, England, Switzerland, Portugal and Hungary, etc., so the people they performed for don't speak Korean, but they always fall in love with The Family Band's performances. And, as you just saw, Suhyun and Henry also participated in a third season in 2021 when they traveled around Korea to perform with some of their Family Band members, as well as other well-known Kpop musicians and artists. This show showcases real life busking performances with some of the best musicians and singers in the Kpop industry. The girl you were talking about is Lee Suhyun who is 9 years younger than Henry. Henry is a highly respected senior to her. She is like a little sister to him. They are very close friends and she admires him and loves him like family. They are both singer/songwriters, so they have a lot in common. If you keep watching Begin Again performances, you will see Henry and Suhyun have a lot of duets and performances together. Suhyun and her brother Lee Chanhyuk, who make up the group Akdong Musician (AKMU), are also considered music geniuses and they write and compose all their own songs as well. Henry was originally a member of the legendary Kpop boy group Super Junior-M under SM Entertainment -- which is one of the largest and most famous entertainment companies in Korea -- as well as a solo artist. He is Chinese/Taiwanese-Canadian -- his dad is from Hong Kong, his mom is from Taiwan and he was born and raised in Canada -- and he can play almost any instrument. He really is a music genius. He was classically trained in violin and piano since the age of 6. He was one of the Kpop industry's very first foreign/non-Korean artists, and he only trained for about a year before he debuted in Super Junior -- and that was only because he needed to learn Korean and become more proficient in Mandarin. He debuted in Korea in 2008, so he has been a famous musician, artist, entertainer, producer, actor, model, etc. for more than 15 years now. On the show Henry was challenged to play multiple instruments from around the world, which he had never seen or played before. He can also play any song or tune on almost any instrument after hearing only a few notes. He debuted as a solo artist in 2013 while under SM Entertainment and, even before becoming a solo artist, he gained a reputation for being an accomplished music producer. He has written, composed and produced all his own solo work, as well as numerous songs for other artists, including several Super Junior songs, songs for other Kpop groups and artists, such as EXO's "The Eve," and Korean- and Chinese-drama and movie OSTs, etc. Henry now owns his own independent music production company -- Monster Entertainment Group -- so he does all the recording, remastering, rearranging and production himself. It's a blessing the south Korean music industry gave him a start in his professional career . Henry is a Canadian who speaks perfect English but would have never gotten an opportunity from the western music industry, for obvious reasons.

On September 17, 2020, Henry featured in "Take Over", the official song of the 2020 League of Legends World Championship, alongside Jeremy McKinnon and MAX.🔥🔥😁 In October, he was confirmed to play the male lead in the second season of the American series Dramaworld, which was released on Lifetime in April 2021.
