When he humiliated her, throwing her out of the car, she NEVER took him back even when he tried to blackmail her using his family's power. The guy used her gratefulness to him and his family and his power to pretty much bully her into a secret relationship. He thought he could abuse her for his amusement once he started to get bored with their relationship, but she stood firm and was prepared to handle his blackmail and threats alone. She cried and called him multiple times, but that's normal. How is that "shamelessly clinging" to him????? She didn't take him back multiple times, or beg him not to break up. I was pretty impressed with a FL willing to let her benefactors think the worst of her, kicking her out and cutting off any support or help just to leave him firmly.
