Thank you to whoever asked him about the Misfits and Chuck Biscuits. Two very amazing subjects! Seen Hank 4 times and only had the privilege of hearing him talk about the Misfits once. Never heard him talk about Chuck before, and I wish I could sit around all day and listen to stories about him.

I asked him about The Misfits and Chuck Biscuits. I was curious if he knew what Chuck is up to because of the fake story in 2009 about his death and rumors that he's working for Costco now.

I asked Eerie Von about Chuck a few months back, here is Eeries response:- Hey Neil, just got your message. It was in a Spam folder. Chuck retired from the business, and is working a straight 9-5 job. I hear from him once in a while, but I suspect he doesn't have much use in his Life for his old band mates. Take care. All the Best.

Earl Liberty was talking about Chuck in My Career as a Jerk about Chuck had a take it or leave it attitude about being in bands and the music scene in general. I wish Chuck never left. He's one of the GOATs. Some of the Circle Jerks performances when he and Earl were in the lineup were insane.

I've never really listened to Black Flag, but I love the Misfits and Danzig and I agree, Chuck Biscuits was on another level as a drummer. I was disappointed when I was 18 and finally got to see Danzig when he was promoting his 4th album and Chuck had already been fired.

First tour 88-89 small venue (teeny tiny actually) Was also 18 at the time. It was phenomenal!!! The stage was just about knee high and I was about 5 or 6 feet from the band. Chuck was great, stood the whole show of course.
@Tom_Van_Zandt Жыл бұрын
@@richardrobbins387 I used to wonder if he stood during live shows. When they would show him in some of the old Danzig videos he would usually be standing. It seems so unnecessarily awkward to play that way. lol
@laurametheny100811 ай бұрын
@@Tom_Van_Zandt I get it tho. Worked in factories for almost 30 yrs. Most of that time I stood. When I earned team leader I asked for a standing desk too. I hated sitting at work. Standing gave me more control over my machines and production. And I had to do a lot of running around helping others and jumping in and out of forklifts and such. But I gotta say I'm paying now. I had to have surgery on my feet and my back and knees and arms are always hurting. It's best to alternate because sitting is REALLY bad for your insides. Had to learn the hard way. I never listened to much Black Flag. Henry could really be unhinged lol. My fave is Danzig the band. First 4 albums. I wish I could go see them, but I also wish it could be the OG lineup too. Nothing like Glenn and Eerie and John and Chuck. Have a good one!🤘🏼🖤☠️🏴

Doyle (Paul) and Jerry Caifas Dad owned a machine shop where the boys worked when not touring. As a matter of fact theres quite a few guitars Doyle has that he made himself out of graphite. So it isnt a surprise that the Caifas opened their home up to Black Flag.

The recording he is referencing is the EVILIVE record. Terrible quality but awesome for the Henry easter egg. For a long time after the singer of my band would yell HENRY FROM BLACK FLAG and then you start playing We Are 138. Good times!

Sometime in 1996 I saw an advertisement Chuck had placed in Seattle. 'Heavy rock drummer looking for professional working band - Played with Danzig, Black Flag, DOA, Circle Jerks' - it was much longer but that was the jist of it. Looking back, there was no band around here he would have been able to join that would have made sense. I guess he gave up the band search and quit drumming is what i heard. I got to see him play on Danzig's second album tour at least. Theres I believe only one show filmed of him playing with Black Flag, I highly recommend giving it a watch.

Chuck Biscuits comes from a talented family. His brother Dimwit also played for DOA. He preceded Chuck in another band with Joey Shithead. Dimwit also saw a great feature as drummer in a band The Four Horsemen. Then tragically died from overdose a few years later. Charles and Ken Montgomery were/are great drummers.

Doyle was in high school. So they only toured in the summer and did one off shows on weekends. Also, I don't consider the Misfits to have ever congealed as a band which is why Glenn moved on.

Rollins is like the David Lee Roth of punk rock... In other words, AWESOME!
@mmmCrunchy4 ай бұрын
Fun, obscure fact: David Lee Roth was apparently a fan of hardcore punk back in the day. First, I heard Rollins tell a story about seeing Roth at an art gallery and Roth actually recognized him as the singer of Black Flag. Years later, I see a post from someone who used to tend bar at a punk rock venue, and he remembered seeing Roth bring dates there to see bands, and the dates often ended up not being into it and leaving while Dave stayed the whole show.
@rega5950 Жыл бұрын
Can someone ask him why he sold the Rollins band mailing list to Marlboro in the early '90s? I received mail from them and his publishing company for several years after signing his mailing list on tour. After a while that mail stopped coming but Marlboro ads and swag replaced it. How do I know it was him? Besides the fact that it's his name and birth date, my handwriting must have been sloppy at the show so they mailed to a name that wasn't mine exactly and the only other mail I've ever gotten to that name was from Marlboro. What a sellout..
