Gaethje, Poirier and Chandler are guys who put people to sleep with one punch, Charles was able to absorb the blow from all 3 and defend himself on the ground. You can't say that his chin is bad... what has to be criticized is his defense, he takes a lot of clean blows to the chin, that's the problem.

Topuria is definitely a favorite, but I think people are exaggerating. Charles has a great chance in this fight. Topuria suffers a lot from low kicks and high kicks and these are two very good weapons that Charles has. Look at Charles' fight against Poirier, that first round shows that Charles has the level to make good exchanges against Topuria and eventually mix it with grappling to be more successful.

Charles got knocked down a lot in his last fights. His defense has improved since the Islam fight as well as his takedown ability. He got a little bit stronger. His clinch is good, too and he’s not easy to ground and pound. If ilia doesn’t catch him with a hook, it’s either gonna be a long night or he shows phenomenal ground game we’ve never seen before at this level.
