Eh, I don't think it's directly continuing what it ended, this is more like a season 2 than anything, with a fake William afton created by something that can mimic things, and a robot resembling the crying child and being influenced by Charlie, which I'm more than okay with that last theory because I feel like Charlie should've gotten a more major role tbh, she was the one who made the dead come back to life, there's also a lot of puppet references in SB, nightmarionne plushies being everywhere randomly and puppet-like wires (that are not the blob's) across the building
