Henya Talks About Her Terrible YouTube Ad Experience

Yeah, the ad situation on KZbin is out of control lately. I've been seeing ads on videos that are only 5-6 seconds long (and the ads are even longer than the videos themselves), on videos that the uploader is not even monetizing, and even on videos marked for kids (which isn't even allowed to begin with). Not only that, but the skip button is spotty at best now, because it doesn't appear for certain ads when it should. I've legit seen ads that are at least a couple minutes long, but the skip button never shows up. And refreshing the page doesn't help, either. Neither do ad blockers. I get that ads help the content creators, but you know it's bad when even the creators themselves are beginning to complain about the surplus of ads. It's like every video now has at least one ad on it. KZbin REALLY needs to implement a fix to drastically reduce the amount of ads, and make sure that the skip button is not broken anymore.

Always block all ads. There is no such thing as a trustworthy ad on the internet. Never ever trust ads, not even from sources you think you can trust. You can't. Online ads are horrendous cybersecurity problems.

pretty certain most KZbin ads are just KZbin videos, no custom javascript, etc.

And that’s when they don’t actively try to edge the KZbin tos, I reported a few ads recently that were quite literally just a girl flufferbating or riding a bilbo and the video was just cut a few pixels above her wooha.

I pay for premium for solely this reason. I really need ASMR or something on youtube to fall asleep and the ads really blow things up. ASMRists can't even control those most of the time. I feel Henya's pain. Also, How cute is Henya!? I forgot how adorable she is.

I absolutely hate it when I'm watching a video, probably not longer than 20 seconds because it's a funny clip, or whenever it's an important or serious topic, and all of a sudden I am blasted with slop like "THE BIGGEST CRYPTO BUSINESS IS COMING TO A CASINO NEAR YOU!" and I just open up an entire Pandora's box of swears and insults at the computer or phone because it is just that obnoxious.

Ive been getting straight up yabai ads when trying to use youtube out in public and im like, fuck this.

Twitch is worse imo. Damn things are louder than the streams and often jumpscare me. Also unskipperble, long and many.

Not only that, you run the risk of missing out on a part of the stream that you may have wanted to watch.
