I do see how Ailee and her sound similar (in technique etc) but I do spot quite a lot of differences in their sounds. If I was listening to this without looking at the artist, I could still tell 100% it wasn't Ailee. They both have distinct flavours in their voices that differentiate them. I'm not a vocal expert, so please don't criticize my thinking... I'm just an avid Aileean.

I've watched a lot of videos today and almost all the comments are like: "her voice is like Ailee's" and "Ailee is better than her" and more stuff like that. My opinion is that Shannon's voice is more soft, thin, and less mature, and Ailee's is more powerful, it's stronger... I truly love them both, their songs are amazing, so are their voices, but Ailee has way more experience than Shannon, who's just a girl that has a long way to go, even thou she used to sing opera and her voice range is like limitless, lol. What I'm trying to say is that I love both Ailee and Shannon, and that both of them have AMAZING voices that are beautiful in their own way.

Everyone comparing Shannon to Ailee and I can't see why. Their voices are so different and Shannon has a wider vocal range, she used to sing opera and hit amazing high notes that Ailee can only dream about. Okay so Shannon has a more developed Soprano way of singing so she can reach higher notes easier. But from what I'm hearing, Ailee has a stronger chest voice so hitting the really high notes takes more efforts but her singing sounds perhaps the tiniest bit more soulful and powerful. I heard Shannon's amazing theater performances and I love Ailee especially her immortal song performances but I don't appreciate people comparing them. They have different experiences when it comes to singing and there is an age gap. They are both phenomenal though and both will improve.
