Our main female lead is Evangeline, who is in love with Luc and Luc is marrying her stepsister, Marisol!!!! OH NO! HER BOYFRIEND IS MARRYING SOMEONE ELSE... that someone else is her stepsister... oh man. Evangeline is so in love that she is willing to do anything to stop Luke’s wedding. Even bargain with a fate.
She thinks that Luc has been bewitched by her stepmother and does at some point questions that maybe he cheated on her and that’s why he is marrying her stepsister, Marisol. I guess what’s really hard for Evangeline is that Luke did not explain to her and cut all communication with her. Maybe having a conversation on why this happened and why he is leaving her for her sister would have helped her understand?
Because of the bargain she made with Jacks for Luc to not marry Marisol it affects the lives of many, not just one. Marisol becomes the cursed bride because every time Luc and her try to get married, something bad happens to prevent it. That's not all, And apparently, later we find out that Marisol bewitched Luke into marrying her and cutting ties with Evangeline.
But there is so much more, a slow-build romance story filled with manipulation, communication issues, magic, and some romanticized fantasy love...
