I agree, it's ashame they can't program a smoother reading app. It should be programed to recognize punctuation marks. Maybe recording someone reading the text then posting it. I do know it costs more for a narrator and may not be attainable for the author

The book itself seems to be very nice. I couldn’t even make it halfway through though. Listening to the story from what sounds like a robot takes all the realism and beauty from it. Sorry.
