Today Barb and I are out in St. Louis doing a bit of antique and vintage shopping in search of some great items to resell. I managed to find a couple things and so did Barb and it was a great time out!

A couple of years ago I was on the hunt for a $15 red rotary phone. I know, seems like ridiculous price, but I knew it was not meant for me unless it was $15. I found one for $20 at a flea market. I asked if she'd take 15, and she did! It is now on my bedside table. ☺

Jeffery buy your banana a little green and put them in the fridge. Then you take out one or two ant an time and let ripen to your liking. The fridge delays the ripening process.

If you wrap foil around the stem of the bananas, they last longer. Just wrap where they bunch together.

so for bananas, the stem at the top gives off a gas that makes the banana become riper faster. You will notice that often times that stem is wrapped, when you buy them in the grocery store. Keep that wrap on, and for added longevity, sometimes I also wrap saran wrap around the stems and in between the stems. Don't break bananas apart and keep them out as they will ripe faster as well. Keep them in the bushel and wrap. Today's housekeeping tip :D lol Great video as always ♥

Barb I saw all those santa's at Get Your Picks on Route 66 but was not sure which ones were Rushtons. Are they marked any where. I know you can tell just by looking at them. There are a few other malls you should go to that are not far from Get Your Picks on Route 66 if you drive over to St. Louis

If a Rushton Santa has the rubber boots, it should be marked on bottom. They can also be marked near their chin, if you move the beard to check. 🙂

Put your bananas in the refrigerator. They will last a lot longer. Even though the outside gets dark, the actual banana stays fresh.

I worked for an Airplane Manufacturer, And Worldwide Seller of Airplanes. Back in the 1980s, In the middle of our Large Open Office, Was a Red Rotary Phone, Exactly like that one. Nobody was allowed to touch it; And the ONLY TIME that it ever rang was when one of our airplanes Crashed, Somewhere in the world. Needless to say, that was the most interesting job of my lifetime.
