Her final task before dying 😭

This Robin was happily using the water and mud in a plant catch basin to build her nest, we're having a bit of a drought. When I realized what she was doing I created some mud about 10' away from there but she had a plan and she stuck to it. On her next trip after this one to the pot she was snatched by a stray cat that came around the far end of my shed from where I was sitting. I gave chase, yelling to drop the bird, but the cat outpaced me. However, once it was out of my range, 4 Robins swept past me and took up the chase! My last sighting was those 4 birds within inches of the cat. I hope they freed her. She won't survive, the cat had her by the chest area, but that was so sad.
