Such a hoot! Baptists in Louisiana must be different than they are in Florida and Georgia; Baptist funerals here always come with a full meal afterward, at the church, of fried chicken, potato salad, mac & cheese, all the southern vegetables (cooked with fatback and tons of salt), finished off with numerous varieties of layer cakes and that stuff they call "salad" that's essentially canned fruit, Jell-O, marshmallows, and Cool Whip. And gallons of sweet tea! Put you in a diabetic coma! And OMG - what your mother said to you about "Today you are a woman" was EXACTLY the same thing my mother said to me! Word for word! Did they read that in some kind of book at the time?!
