The hair designer did a great job! She didn’t try to chop all her hair off! She just took off the bare minimum of what was needed! Hair looks healthy and beautiful and it’s still long and flowing! Excellent job! I wish this hair designer lived in my area.💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻🎈😇💫👍🏼

This is what I’ve been trying to tell ppl that spend hours detangling. The hair needs to be trimmed, clarified, or the detangling and wash routine needs to be reevaluated.

That doesn't work for 4c hair and beyond! Lol I even tried detangling and leaving plastic clips in it to stop some of the shrinkage and tangles but it still tangled like crazy! I'm going to try large two strand twists for my new wash method to combat the tangles and shrinkage!

@@friedchicken892 Maybe? But it's always been like this, lots of shrinkage and tangles even when I used to go to the beauty shop every two weeks faithfully. She, my hairdresser, would use a wet brush to detangle my hair with conditioner. I do that too but I've grown tired of it! I hope my new two strand twists method works better in the future!

Great job on her hair sis! I just got a professional silk press and cut for the first time after being natural 6 years. I was cutting my own hair but I wish I would've gotten regular trims because I went from waist length to just below bra strap and my ends were terrible too.

From my experience with doing long hair clients, the common thing that they would say is that they barely do anything to their hair. They are not afraid of trims or cuts, their styles are basic or simple, not over done and consistent.

I didn’t get her particular regimen but I have notice a pattern throughout the years of all of my long haired clients, low manipulation, they keep simple to few styles in the hair, no matter when they trim they’re always consistent with it, if they get off ( for instance, if life happens) they’re not afraid of cutting what’s needed, and the most important of all making sure that their health is intact internally for hair growth.

As someone with waist length hair, I do protective styles twice a year, I trim my ends before and after the protective styles, low manipulation styles when I don’t have in protective styles, minimal heat, wash and deep condition every week or two and I wrap my hair up every night
